    • here's the deal. I'm tired of buying weed from half ass growers, So I decided I'm starting my own grow room. I have a 10x10 room available for flowering N a 4x4 available for veg. I was Thinking of using 4 600w hps lights in flowering. Does that sound right? N if so how many plants would I be able to comfortably fit into the room? Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you have had some good advice. A single 1000W bulb is generally understood to light
a 8 x 8 room for flowering. 2 600W bulbs are better than the single 1000W by more wattage, and
more important, by better coverage. 4 600W bulbs in a 10 x 10 may be overkill, eh? Try going with
3 of them and leave the quarter of the room by the door uncovered. Your going to need some room
in there for a chair, supplies, etc. If you don't have a ceiling fan in your designated flowering room
it would be a good idea to put one in now. My ceiling fan in my flowering room hasn't been off for a
week in the last 6 years. If you don't put one in now you will regret it.

4 x 4 is a good size to veg for a 10 x 10. Forget using a MH bulb in that small of an area. They are so
much hotter than MH bulbs I use HPS bulbs in my 400W veg room. The difference of heat is worth the
tiny trade-off. It's a good idea to knock together some sort of mini-bleachers for the veg room. I have
a perpetual grow going where I harvest a plant a week. That means I got all different ages and sizes
vegging at any one time. You need to move them towards and away from the light as conditions change
and the little bleachers do the trick.

Good luck. PM me if you have specific questions. I've been in dirt since '06 and am over 40 grows.
BigSteve.
