Need some help here. First time trying to grow. Clones do not look good.

This is my first grow, so far its not going well.
I got some GDP clones. I'm thinking I got a bunch of junk.

Some are dead and more look to be on the way. There are not many roots, some show none on the bottom of the rockwool.

I have the GH keep it simply program. When I first got them home I mixed up the seedling formula. They started looking worst the next day so I just used straight filtered water and ph 5.8 And left the cover off the tray. By night they looked even worse, so I added some nutriant water to the bottom of the tray and covered them.

Today they are looking better. But not good. I soaked up some of the excess water in the bottom of the tray today.

What should I do?

I plunked my clones into the grow gel - not the rooting gel that you dip them in then move them into a medium, but the gel in a clear cup so you can watch the roots grow. You can buy it at Canadian Tire, and presumably any other Garden Center. They aren't doing fuck all for roots either, after 9 days, but they persist in not quite dropping dead. Patiency my friend, patiency. My clones are from my own adult plants, so I know they are not 'junk'. This is my first grow, and first set of clones too. Maybe you should try sticking them in one of these gels instead of rockwool or plain water? And keep 'em out of the direct sunlight! Mine are on a north window sill for now.

I did not clone these. I'm pretty sure they were not done right at all. Next time I hope to clone them myself, but I need a few of these to make it.

I have them under a 2'x4' 8 bulb t5 with 4 bulbs on.
