Need some help deciding on this all-in-one kit

Im new to this site and also new to growing.I need help deciding on this kit. I know its a little pricey for a starting kit but I've been reading and watching lots on growing for the past 3days and it seems I'll be successful as long as I get everything the plants requires and keep to a set schedule and fix problems as they happen.Yes I also know that most people run into problems their first grow but I want to try and make this as perfect as possible.

I wanted to find a kit that comes with almost everything I need to grow some dope.excluding seeds and something to take care of the smell.So can someone who has some experience look at this and tell me what is missing or is this a pretty good setup.Also im planning to build a small grow box in my closet for this to be stationed probably 3' tall and 4'long and 1' or 2 wide.I was also planning on putting a florescent light in the middle of the 4-5 plants at mid hight to get the plants as much light as possible so I get as much bud as possible I dont know if it sounds like a good idea.

Lastly seeds. Ive decided to use Afghani because its easy to grow, short and from what ive read a pretty tough plant.Is there a better strain to use for beginners?
So im just looking for some tips/ideas or warnings on this whole setup if im missing anything important?

First off... in a space like that u will definately need something to cool the bulb. I didnt think they got that hot until i put it in a closet. Even with a little passive cooling i couldnt keep the temps below 95f. So get a sealed reflector with lots of ventilation. Second get some starter pucks or some rockwool cubes and get your seedlings to about 1.5 - 2 weeks before transplanting into the ocean forest, I've heard FF OF is a little hot for seedlings. Also afghani is a great strain, it is super potent and easy to grow... just keep her short maybe do a small scrog. I use foxfarm hydro and have gotten some impressive results and I've heard that there soil is just as good. So good luck with your grow and I hope this helps. Also u might want to think about making your cab a little taller or design the grow area to have your pots elevated about 2 inches with some drain pans, and scrog it at about 8-10 inches tall. 36 inches of height isnt much to work with for a 400 watter.

yah, I guess if im going to have that light in there I should go more like 4 or 5 feet tall just for bigger plants and it would most likely spread the heat out better.what exactly does "FF OF" mean?sorry it might be a noob question but Ive only been around this stuff for a couple days, also my closet is pretty big for a closet like a quarter of my room more like a mini room I guess its like 8' by 8' but I get what your saying, thanks for the advice though.

ffof stands for fox farms, thats the company that makes it, and the of stands for ocean forest, which just means it has like kelp and fish poo in it a believe.. i also agree that you should go a lil taller with the box.. although they say a plant will stay short, you have to take into account the height of your pots, the height of your lamp and hood, etc.. your better of having a lil more room than not enough in my eyes..
afghani is a good strain, and so is any northern lights strain.. northern lights is perfect for a newb, easy to grow, low odor, and stays fairly short.. but i would say that any indica dom strain would be a good plant to start off with..
if your looking for some cheap seeds, i would say try either speedy seedz, he's all over this site, or i also like the attitude.. the tude has a section called pick and mix where you can buy single seeds of certan strains, that way you could try a few different ones and see what you like.. if you do the pick and mix, i would suggest sticking with all indica strains.. they tell you what it is in the description of the plants, just read around and see what sounds good to you.. or after you find some that sound good, post them up here and see what peps have to say about your ideas.. its a great way to get help and ideas of what is a good strain..
