Need some advise on air-cooled reflector

hello everyone. i have 2x4x7 tent and don't know waht style of light to get. I will be using a 400 watt light but don't know if a 6" exhaust will be enough to keep the temp where it needs to be or do I invest in a air-cooled hood? I understand that a cool tube might hinder the light getting to the plants somewhat. Also I understand that with the open reflectors you can't get it to close to the top of the plants but with a enclosed hood(with a glaas cover) you can get right on top of them. This is just one of many important steps to acheiving great results so any advise will be greatly appreciated as I want to get this operation off to a good start. Thanks to all that take the time to share. Cause that's what it's all about with each other. Peace to one and all.

here's a photo of my current cabinet setup, from down looking up. The air enters on the back right side, thru the reflector and on the the left is the fan pulling it out.

Some people elect to get rid of the ducting on the right and pull the air inside the hood directly from the cab, where as i have a second fan (not shown) which rotates air inside the cab.

You still can't really 'get on top' like you might think. The buds have to be a good 12" from the bottom of your light.

The smaller ducting on the left going down off the picture is not conected to the ducting used to cool the hood, its part of the air filter behind the hood.
