Need review for first cannabis grow.

Greetings RIU. I have two clones about 2 weeks into flowering. Unfortunately started my flower a bit to late, so I'm countering my screw up by bending my plants down and developing a consistent canopy..Scroggy Style. Discontinued pruning lower leaves to reduce hormone displacement to the buds. waiting until they are yellow and then give them a light tug to see them come off. Some discoloration on a few of the leaves and minor spotting. Leaves are curling down, and the very tiny tip look burnt. leaves that are mid to lower canopy have brown blotches. Sprayed neem oil last week to knock out a minor thrip infestation before major flowering. I don't know what it is, and its time to ask the community for some help. All I have at the moment is my phone to take pix.a 40-2000x microscope is usefull for identifying pests and other super sweet close up inspections. Soil nutes are like this... one gallon of 40ppm RO water then its brought up to 600ppm with General Organics

Bio Thrive Bloom 1tsp 2-4-4
Bio Root 1tsp 1-1-1
Bio Bud 1tsp .5-.1-1
CaMg+ 1tsp

After that is applied to both 5gal pots then another 2 gallons of 40ppm Ro water is poured over the two pots again to ensure good water saturation. Plants are usually fed when they just start to fade from a solid green color.

They are in Fox soil and 5gal smart pots.

400w HPS
3x3x5.5 Jardin tent.
42-53% Humidity
83F on average
90F canopy.

Is this Leaf curl natural?
Is this brown blotch usual to lower, light deprived dying leaves?
the last pic is a cfl light shot to see the plant under non hps light. My camera exaggerates the yellow on the fresh growth in the middle of the collias.
First time growing cannabis, but not my first time growing.

I openly invite any comments and or questions. Please let me know if I'm on the right track. I've been growin the shit outa some herbs and veggies, but these ladies are putting me to the test. December is the grow deadline. Choosing this setup I hope to capitalize on minimal time. Five white rhino seedlings are working away in the seedling chamber to be my second harvest just in time for the Dec deadline. I had a single blackberry plant with the two sativas and it turned out to be a male. The white rhinos will better suit my small scrog setup. Well at least that's the plan. Thanks RIU.:leaf:

I think the leaf curling is from the heat. 90 is pretty hot bro. My closet was sitting in the mid 90s for a couple of weeks and all of my leaves started looking like that, and the plants actually dropped a lot of their leaves. The yellowing near the bud sites seen in the last pic is natural, it is the color new growth has, they should turn green with time.

Do you have a fan blowing over the top of the canopy, between the plants and the light? If not, adding one can really help with the heat, and may even let you set your light closer to the plants.

90F n canopy is a little hot unless you're supplementing CO2. How close is light to canopy? Should be at least 12". Also, 83F air temp is a little high with low humidity like that. When was the last time you flushed it? Why is the ppm of your RO water so high? A good RO filter should be producing 5 PPM MAX. Your RO filter may be burned out, your EC meter may need to be recalibrated, or you may need a pressure booster pump to enhance RO performance. You will degrade your filter quickly running low pressure through it.

The leaves are curling and spotting and yellowing early because the plant has been overfed...u gotta watch that Bio-bloom stuff...Lol. All of those ferts are awesome...the GO Line...I use them too in FFOF, but they tend to keep feeding the plant long after you have stopped...but if you read the box, or the back of the bottle, they are more liquid soil amendments, and really once they get going the soil then makes it's own food for the plant, and you need not add more because it won't get used.
As far as I can tell is that the GO Line makes your soil a standalone type soil after a few good uses...
I have overfertilized numerous times til I realized what was happening...
I literally only feed my plants every 5th or 6th watering now and that keeps them happy...I also reuse my soil, so each time it seems to have more and more nutes...the GO Line is a super line of liquid soil amendments, but you just have to remember that once the soil is happy you don't have to give it anything...the microlife does it's own thing.

And as you know your temps are too high...most strains can take a few hot days though...either raise your lights, or get a bigger fan, or look into an AC unit for the room you are using...
I utilize all of these items and it stays a nice high 70's low 80's in the tents. My veg tent gets hotter than flower, because the flowering tent has most of the fans and exhaust and what not...but each tent has at least 1 fan...even if it is just a box fan...
Do you have a fan in there already?

I've got a fan blowing just under the canopy and I can raise it up to increase Air movement over the canopy. That does make sense that the smaller leaves closer to the light are curling to reduce aspiration from high heat. Whats weird is I have a male I leave outside most of the day and its a minimum of 100F outside all the time and some times hitting 115. I'm guessing that its a low pressure problem with my RO system seeing that the tank doesn't fill up completely. Its a brand new system by GE. My water is 500ppm out the tap and you can smell the chlorine. I have an exhaust fan, and a oscillating fan inside. I have my lights about 10in away from the plants and its in an inclosed hood so its just warm on the hand at canopy level. I'll try to raise my lights and fix that fan or maybe get a second one. As for the fert. I'll just leave it be for now. What should my PPM be at for fertilizing? Technically I'm running like 200ppm in 3gal of water for feeding. Anyways I gotta cut this short, cause i gotta get to work. Thanks for the info, and I'll try and make adujstments when I get back from work and my lights are on. I'll keep you guys updated.

My plants are looking better today. The curling has been minimized to the outer collias, but this is strange seeing as they aren't getting as much light heat. I can feel the air is not moving to much at canopy level. Time to lift up that fan.

as you said.........get the canopy moving. increase ventilation and those leaves will perk up, methinks. Missnu is on point about over-fed, imo.

The male is in the ground outside? yes?
Because plants in the ground can take farther extremes of heat and cold than a plant in a pot, simply because when it is really hot outside it is still cool for the roots under the ground, and when it is cold it is still warm under the ground.

Nope. Its in a 5gal smart pot. Its a BlackBerry Indica. Harvesting its pollen is the goal. I'm guessing that the blackberry is much more resistant to temp extreme's than the sativas. It has been amazingly hearty and bug resistant.
The plants were flushed with pure water, 5gals per plant. The girls have been weaved into the scrog to bring the plant height down. The light has been raised, fan raised to canopy level, and my canopy temp is now 85F and average is 80F. What is an ideal level for my RH? I forgot to mention that there has been quite a bit of accidental and non-accidental super-cropping. The knuckles are developing well, and those that don't get a tape crutch until they can support themselves. The plan is to leave them alone to get over moving, flushing and weaving. Gonna lay off the nutes and see what my active soil can produce for me. Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully this will perk my girls up to maximum goo producing capacity! I'm afraid of the plants outgrowing my tent.
