As for the humidity, yes im sure that would work well so long as you spray the inside walls of the case regularly. Now is the case closed and sealed? Is there anyway for the tree to breathe? If not I would open up the top so that it can get some air. Also...make sure you set it up near a south facing window if at all possible that way it gets the right amount of sunlight.

No its not completely sealed i had to stand it up so the base is vertical and unfortunately that makes it not 360 glass so the base is like the backing and slides on and off the reason why i need a small one is i live in a apartment and all i have is a balcony so i have a small place to work with ill post some pics

Actually I think using that football case as a mini greenhouse is a great idea, I have a few bonsai trees myself. I would mist the inside walls maybe once in the morning once at night and you should have no problems with keeping your Ficus healthy. That looks really good.

Just a side note....Ficus are tropical trees and are typically grown indoors for that reason. If your night time temps get down below 50-60 degrees or so, I would bring it in for the night. If it freezes, it will die. You should read this: http://www.shbonsai.com/care_ficus.html

Thanks man its a work in progress thanks for the link (the reason i need the greenhouse is b/c i live in N.E. Ohio)
