Okay so im using a 3.5ft. tall by 2.5ft. tall(guessing...) cardboard box.

I need to figure out a way to keep ALL light from getting in the box in flowering when the lights are off! I could tape it shut and all but, i would need to untape it so i could water and feed the babys!(who wants to do that!) Im thinking i could put a trash bag over it, but when i put a fan or two on the box the bag will cover that,i could cut a hole in the bag so the fans could work but then how will i keep light from coming through the fan?:dunce: (yes i know it can be a fire hazard so im being carful as can be.) The light im using right now for my seedlings doesnt get hot at all.Now i might start worrying when i put a cfl or two in there..:fire:

id suggest using a tube that u insert into a hole in the box for it then at the end of that tube make a filter then that filter will stop light from comin into your growspace....i use a drain tube thats got 2 pc fans inside it so it blasts that hot air out of the box through the tube and through the filter and out......bend the end of the tube downwards....u can also use some rubbish bags fold them into a thin line then line the doors at each side withthem bags so when u close the doors the extra rubbish bags create a cushion plus stop any light fromg ettin into that box.either that or use some type of draft exluding tape down the side of the door openings and that will cover the gaps if there is any when u close the doors

i suggest u actually swap your cardboard box for somethin more decent like a cupboard or somethin tougher because ur going to have more problems in the future when u get to flowering ....the heat goes up to 30 celsius in my box and im glad im using compressed chipboard otherwise the cardboard box would be burnt to bits by now if i was using one lol

I might but for now its all i got and i would just grow in the open room but i have a little brother who doesnt need to see these plants(just yet :))

then id simply treat him to some money get him to go out somwhere then transfer the plant or plants elswhere into something more suitable...id rather do that then regret it if it came to a housefire..i mean if u have a cupboard with ur clothes in take the clothes out store them elsewhere and turn the cupboard into a growspace...the clothes arent gonna be dissapointed but your plant will if it stays in that cardboard box lol

ur best bet is too cover the inside of it with kitchen foil the opposite side to shiny or some kind of white film so it will stop the heat when it comes to flowering because my man u are gonna have a major problem when it comes to adding more lights the heat is gonna burn that box no matter how hard u try...

i think i might just veg them in the box untill spring and transplant outside. Im just a lil worryd bout the heat. It gets a lil harsh where im from.

my advice is to u.watch the heat in the box for starters...when it comes to the time .plant them outside and forget about em.seems to me as if your heading down the wrong road at the moment theres allways another time or day or place to start again..

when u veg a plant ur supposed to repot it when in vegging....just like a grow area its best to start big and end big than start small end with big ......kinda lost myself then lol....yeh anyway allways have a bigger grow area even with small plants cos they grow at a rapid rate and ur gonnabe wantin to change areas as soon as when it comes to that .....speaker boxes..no good

I think its kinda funny though that i have a tent that my brother used to play in but, when he comes over and sees the tent. there is no way hes not going to go in there!

no need to get stem grabbing lol just take ya time u might one day have them all out of the house so u can think about what ya doing and how your gonna go about it lol

I was thinking about topping them and tieing them down to make them smaller and bushyer but if i do that then transplant outside they will probly get big fast...(somthing to look forward too, i guess)

yeh im in a 3ft grow area now with 4 of them and ive had to tie down and top one to try it out then i will know if the other one gets huge then ill know how to go about it if there is a next time
