Two rooms: ~380 sq ft total
9 x 1040 watt air cooled lights (3 veg, 6 flower)
Ducting fixture size: 8"
Type of ducting: Flex ducting
Intake fan: Vortex 8" Powerfan - VTX800 (747 CFM)
Type of grow room: Sealed rooms w/ CO2
Total length of ducting: ~100-110ft

Ok, so does anyone have any tips on how to make this setup more efficient/cooler? Right now the temps in the flower room are about 5-10f degrees too high and I want to try and bring that down. I was thinking of adding a booster fan? The fan is on the intake and I hear it's better to have it on the exhaust? Also we're working on a colder air intake. Any other ideas?

14" screened wall vent with damper hooked to a 14" galvanized duct to a 14" centrifugal blower, sucking on a 14" galvanized trunk with 8" takeoffs, each takeoff with 2 or 3 hoods chained off it using flex...

I'm running sans ac in the summer in a desert. You just need a beefy ventilation system and run at nights in a basement lol.

Do you have warm "lights out" temps? Before I used ac, I had problems with my daytime (dark) temps being the same or a little warmer than the night time temps.(big basement set up with a lot of air going through it). The buds would be spongy with little frost and would take much longer to mature. It was okay most of the year but when there would be several hot days at a time during summer I would dread it.

Never had density problems. Yes my dark cycle stays warm in the summer, I run a heater in the winter though. I prefer warm dark. It eliminates any pm issues by temperature and because warm air holds more moisture.

I'm with you on this. My experience is that
Warm night = boo-boo:-(
I had a setup at one location in Ca years back, before running sealed growrooms, that would have good temps lights on(at night) but like 80 with lights out. = Boo-boo:-(
The fix was to run sealed at lights out, running ac and dehu. Worked killer. Not much ac is needed, as you aren't combating heat from lights.
This was only needed during the summer months.
