Need help with ventilation!!

As the title says, I just built a new grow room, it is 2x3x8, I did all the calculations and went out and bought a 200 cfm 4 inch vortex exhaust fan. I went and did a test run with no plants and my 400w hps is making that room 102 degrees, I was wondering what I am doing wrong and or what could be fixed?

Where's the fan, I don't see a inline fan, Also your bat wing reflector isn't coolable. If you had a cooled hood you'd hook that fan up to it and pull the hot air out. Then your spot would be cooler. Where's the air coming from and what temp is that air. More details please.

I got the fan mounted up to my ceiling, the ambient tempature of the "passive" exhaust is usually 70-75. And yeah an air cooled hood would be tight but from what i;m seeing it will only bring the temps down 5-10 degrees.

it will bring it down alot more than that and its what u need, ur already invested, mine as well do it the right way. one thing you'll learn soon is that theres no cutting corners in this shit man

Yeah, except for last harvest! The room I had had a 600w in it and the temps were perfect! and thats with no air cooled hood or exhaust fan. But other then an air cooled hood, nothing else I could do?

And yeah I know, it's impressive what 3 weeks will do to your plants, Mine grew to from seed to about a foot in a half in about a month ( indica mind you ). By time it was done the monster was 7 foot tall -_-. LOL
