Need help with QB vs Strips

Okay so after my last recent thread, I am now deciding on buying or possibly building a LED.
Going with QB or Strips, as I am new to everything I honestly don't know much about either. Besides they are the best LEDs out there, not going to buy another Viparspectra lol.

I can spend roughly $150 right now on a light, or buy piece by piece to afford something more around $250-300 so I have the opportunity to build a nice light and something more expensive than spending $100 on a cheap light now. So I can spend/save nearly $50 a week to go towards my build if I don't just buy a light pre-built.

1. I need roughly 200w for my 2x2x4.
2. Looking to get over a qp in a 2x2 with the right light.
3. Should I go with Samsung strips or a horticulture QB?
4. I have no idea what I'm doing so bare with me please if you decide to post.

Thanks!

Also was looking at these as options...

"Things I'm not going to do:

1. I'm not going to bullshit you. I'm not going to claim I did x number of years of research and have found the "perfect spectrum" for growing plants. I'm not going to tell you I had LEDs and boards custom designed and manufactured to my specifications to "match the McCree Curve" (or any other curve). I'm not going to tell you my 150 Watt light is "equal" to 600 watts of HPS. I'm not going to claim this is the best light ever made for growing. Such claims are just utter bullshit."

That is brilliant. Made me laugh :) @nfhiggs

Probably won't fit in a 2 x 2 and it's only 90w.

Yup. Just what you need... https://www.omegalight.net/product-page/150wx4
The dimensions are 19.5" x 24", but it looks easy to get that down to 19.5" x 22"

Yes, but it would still perform better than my viparspectra 300w thats 136w draw.
Or perhaps both in my tent but the diminesions of that 90w would be pushing it alone.

How about this one? From the same guy and seems perfect.
Will fit in a 2x2 with the dimensions and is 190-195w draw which is exactly what I need for a 2x2x4. Gonna offer $200 plus shipping on this one.

Those boards are knockoffs. . Not Hlg!

Its growing these little beauties pretty nicely at 100 watts:

There would be no need for additional lighting with the Samsung strips

I'm seriously considering ordering your 150w light for my 2x2x4.

Is it a true 150w pull from the wall? Also are those the samsung 561c light strips?

Sorry I just started learning about this stuff today as far as strips and qbs lol.

The heatsink is totally ghetto!

200W is really way more than you need for a 2x2. About 30 watts per square foot works well.

Its 150W to the strips - about 165W at the wall. Those are genuine Samsung F series strips, model LT-F562B, 22" single row, Samsung Part number SI-B8U261560WW.

Spec sheet for the strips is here:
https://cdn.samsung.com/led/file/resource/2017/11/Data_Sheet_F_Series_G3_Rev.1.0.pdf

For HID and less efficient lights, that works, but the Samsung LEDs put out about 30% more photons so fewer watts per square foot is needed.

Awesome that sounds perfect for my 2x2x4 then if you're recommending a little less wattage than 50w per sq ft. Well by the "looks" of everything, your 150w is about the best deal I can find for around $100. Seems to me like I'll be purchasing it today lol.
