Ok so i got my 250w hps... fitted it up the other day and have started flowering just two plants, ive only recently got a temp gauge and humidity gauge as well so im now starting to take note of humidity and temps etc.

Humidity seems to be ok, but temps seems to be about 80 but can reach up to 90F

Any ideas how i can solve this.... heres some pics of my setup

thanks guys.

nice plants, 75-78 is ideal but 80 is pretty good. that 250 should be cake to cool, you might need a higher cfm exhaust is all. a surefire way would be to aircool the light and just keep the exhaust fan you got.

my night time temps dropped to 45 f,

big problem, so i installed a thermosted green house heater, to keep it at 65f,

it works,

but then i had day time temos soaring to 90s, so i got a extra fan on a speed controller and ajusted it to to blow just enough extra cold air in to bring the temps down to normal,

I have a hard time getting mine up to 80 right now. It usually stays pegged at 75.6, and drops down in the mid 60's or maybe low 60's on a cold night during the off cycle. Humidity around 48-55. I'm insulating though. A 6" inline duct fan should help you out.

buy a greenhouse heater ( one with a thermo stat) and set it to stick at a set temp,

it doesnt have to be a green house heater,

maybe a bathroom heater or something,

just greenhouse ones are moisture resistant .. so are bathroom ones,

good for grow rooms

You dont mention your exhaust set up, make sure you have a sufficient fan and filter.. also you can change the lights "on" time to nightime, to take advantage of cooler temps. say 7 pm on till 7 am... get a calendar, write down things you do so you will know what works... venting the hood will lower temp also if you have one...

Also, I dont see a fresh air intake anywhere...? Move the fan a ways back from the plants, looks a bit close to me...Plants look nice... dont over water :-)
