Need help with getting a med card

Suppose (hypothetically) I lived in the midwest, in a state that did not allow medical marijuana use.

How difficult would it be to establish residency in California? From what I've read, and seen on tv, it would not be too difficult.

I'm thinking, I go out to Oakland, and get a PO box, then apply for a drivers license. With a CA license in hand, I go to a dispensary, where I tell them I have depression and anxiety. They issue me a med card. Now I can go pick out a couple oz's of fine sinsemilla.....legally.

Would it be that easy?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds a little sketchy..but might work..I have a script...you don't get the script at the dispensary .. you have to go to a prescriber..if you have any medical records that helps, but isn't always necessary.

From what I saw on tv, they had doc's there at the dispensary. So, I need to see a regular doctor, get a scrip for pot, in order to get a med card?

Well pack your bags! I went in to a "cannibus prescriber" which not all doctor's do and showed proof of my back injury and was written a prescription.. my wife suffers from anxiety so she was written one too(she did not have medical records) she basically just described her simptoms. They are medical doctors, but they usually are holistic doctors. They may have a doctor that comes on certain days to the dispensary, but you still have to see the doctor and be deemed to benefit from the use of cannabis.
In California, if you have a legitimate condition that you would benefit from the use of cannabis and a Dr. verifies this.. you have the right to use, grow, and posses.

Thanks Raiderfan, that's quite a list. It seems so fucking easy, they may as well legalize it. But there are a lot of doctors making money off the med cards, and would not want it legalized.

I live in Oakland, it's really that easy. Its not that CA is lax, its that the rest of the country is way behind. So the CA laws are just there to not really pissed the Feds off. And its good to know that AG Eric Holder is my high school alum!
