Need Help with Garage Grow Room Setup

Hey All,

I have three seasons of successful outdoor grow under my belt. I relocated to another state and unfortunately have not had a grow in two seasons. I want to build a grow room in my garage. I would like to construct a 9'4" x 7"10 x 7'6" room with the garage. The construction of this room is not an issue. I am going to use 4" metal studs, with drywall, and insulation. The garage itself is not insulated and here lies my dilemma. I have not idea were to begin with regards to proper air flow. I live in a state were the summer temperature reaches 110 and the winters can drop to the 40s. I was thinking of mounting a window a/c unit into one of the walls for summer use and using a room heater for winter. The garage gets hot and cold dependent of the outside weather. The room is roughly 72 sq ft and I need to know how I go about moving air in and air out, containing the smell, ducting...should I create a roof fan specifically for the room. Power and construction is not my issue. I need to know about proper ventilation, were I should vent to, and how I go about it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This room would be built within the garage. Think of it has an storage room with four brand new constructed walls within the garage. I can't stand the buds they got out here and I really need to grow some quality medicinal for myself... and possibly a little more to send to my family and friends. Thanks.

I wish I could construct a room that simple. Problem I have is the variation in temperature throughout the year. :leaf: I have a complete aeroponic system in mind. I have a separate tiny room for the clones. I do not feel I need a mother or mothers. I plan on taking clones from my growing plants and using them in constant self sufficient cycle. This entire room would be used for the veg and flower cycles. My main concerns are moving air in and out, temperature, noise, and smell.

I have a suggestion.....build your room in the corner of the garage.....put an A/C unit into one of the dummy walls....let that A/c pull air in from the garage........have an exhaust vent/fan ducted through the cieling of the garage up into "attic" and out through the Turbine on the roof.....If you dont have a turbine.....exhaust it through the return air from the plumbing.....All of your heat and smell will go up and outta the attic.....not much signature, and you could put a charcoal filter in there somewhere too...

In Texas, in most of the homes there are vents in the soffit that let heat escape....you may have them too....if you walk outside and look up under the "eaves" or "cornice" you may see some vents......you can vent through theese too...

your going to need osilating fans to move air around the room to help the stalks get thicker as if it were natural. an intake and exhaust fan around the same size. your hoods should be connected using air ducting. finally you want a CARBON FIBER filter to reduce the smell
