Need help with Baking Soda and White Win Vinegar for PH UP and Down

I'm certain I have a PH problem. I have baking soda and vinegar I can use for the PH UP and DOWN. I'm not certain how much I need to use to move the PH scale (ex. one teaspoon of baking soda in one gallon of water in a five a gallon pot will move PH UP by .5).

I just need to know how much I need to use to move the PH scale. Is there anyone on here that has used this method and knows how it works?

Please dont tell me to buy PH UP and DOWN. I'm out of money and can not afford it, so that doesnt help. What I need is accurate instructions on how to apply what I do have.

Thanks,

you need a ph kit to test no way around it man, no one can just tell you what or how much to dose cause everyones water is a different ph out of the tap. it has to be tested an retested after you up/down the ph with whatever you use. Its not something you can eyeball or best guess.

I have a PH meter (a crapy one) and it gives different readings, but I can gather that my PH is low, prob. around 5.3 to 5.8. Stoney, I'm no expert but one tablespoon dissolved into one gallon, then applied to five gallons of soil, should be a relatively consistent number. It doesn't matter what the reading is, a certain amount applied to certain amount of medium should a relitivly consistent number (i.e. .5 ph up). Next please, and please someone who has some knowledge using this type of PH adjuster. You're out there, I just need to find them

I already know the PH of baking soda (8.2) and vinegar (5.5). That chart just give a range. Sorry but thats not much help bro, thanks for trying. Need to know what amount of baking soda/vinegar will raise/lower PH per one qubic feet of soil (or whatever that unit of measure is the standard).
