HI,

First time auto and I don't know how much time left.
I need to know cause we need to do some house fix and I need to finish the grow before...

2 plants in soil.
Strain is northern light auto from nirvana

Day 66 since seed.
Middle of week 9.

According to nirvana its 10-12 weeks from seed but I don't see how this possible with my plants.
I had some issues, started 20:4 and it was too much and leave kept on drooping.
Then switched to 16:8 and things got better.
I also replant it twice (didn't know that not recommended for autos)

Anyway - how much time do you think they have?
4 weeks?

Thanks

quite a few weeks, they look like 4 or 5 weeks flowering at most, so yes maybe another 6 + weeks.
nirvana seeds giving a realistic time frame for harvest, im surprised in a good way, i thaught they would have pushed the lower end of the scale in weeks. gipsey is obviously improving with age

2 quantum boards - 120 each.
One above each plant.

I am running 16:8 light schedule.

Can I change it to 18:6 in this point to shorten the flower time?

More light = more maturation with autos. Could it be your lights were to close at 20/4?

That’s the cycle I run and only in the last couple of hrs do the plants droop. They’ve simply taken all the light they can and focus on repair/roots etc

No, same height.

That was the same for me - last couple of hours was drooping

So going back to 18:6 is possible or it will stress them?

Nirvana says 10-12 weeks from seed because people want fast so they claim it's fast to sell more seeds. If it takes longer, and it will, they still got your money. That's how it works. Whatever it takes to move product. If it takes 16 weeks instead of the 10-12 they advertise there is nothing you can do about it. It's not just Nirvana so don't think I'm singling them out. With few exceptions they all play fast and loose with their descriptions and flowering times.

I understand the marketing approach.

So what the point in autos?

I can do full cycle with feminize in 15 weeks and I will get more harvest and better quality.
Why should I bother with autos if its taking 15-16 weeks?

People grow autos for a variety of reasons.

You can start a new one every couple weeks and use one grow space for a perpetual harvest. No worry about having veg and flowering plants on different light schedules.

I grew some for the ability to check on them (feed them) multiple times a day. Photos on a 12/12 schedule wouldn't allow me too.

Autos doesnt always equal smaller yields and quality isn't always that far off from photoperiods.

Here are some small autos... Yeah right, even the one in a coffee container isn't small... 20210423_135649.jpg20210423_135642.jpg20210421_131216.jpg20210421_131015.jpg20210421_131205.jpg20210421_131259.jpg
