Need help restoring a t5 fixture

Hola. I'm setting up a grow cab with a Pioneer IV fixture (four foot, four tubes), but a ballast is shot in it. If anyone has worked on them before, what kind of ballast do I need to go buy?

buy you a new T5 HO ballast, sell them at Hd and Lowes for around $15 last time I was there(about 2weeks ago). Buy you some new t5 ho bulbs as well, other then that just switch everything out and should be good to go.

Don't know your particular fixture. Just check what is on the ballast to be sure it is the same. Ballast states how many bulbs it can run and the watts. Some ballasts are for 1 tube some are for 2 tubes. Most ballasts at Lowes or home depot have a list of interchangable ballast numbers.

Thanks for all the input. I went out and got the part earlier. I got a single ballast to run all four tubes, but for the moment have a couple strip lights hanging in there. I'm excited to watch my first crop grow!

Just be patient with them, learn and study them and if you are concerned about their looks or behavior consult the forum or google it. Just don't start feeding them with nutes and further the damage, correct it soon as you notice. Good luck and hope to see a journal!
