need help on this plzz

right am at the point of killin of my plant ..not sure tho ...its seems nice and healthy its 12inch high ..standing well .. (bit streeeched) i started of 12 on 12 off (lights) from seed .i got told 2 start off wiv tht ..but u ment start off wiv 18/6... thn go onto 12/12..
will it grow like a normal weed plant ...even tho i started 12/12

or shell i jus kll it off and start again or wait and see wot happens ppl really could do wiv ur help thnks

Your plant is streached because it's "reaching" for light. Either the light source you're using isn't bright enough or it's too far from the plant.

Right now you are in Veg state. You can leave the light on 24 hours a day. After the plant is 6 weeks old you switch to 12/12 and change nutes to enter the flowering stage.

Up on the top bar of the forum there's a link called GroFAQ. Everything you'll ever need to know is there.

Oh... yea....

Don't kill your plant.

so its not worth killing off ? and jus leave my light on 24 hours a day 4 how long ? aint got much room 2 grow in only got about another 2 foot of space
o yh i srted out the streeching ..i put the light closer 2 the plant

Couldn't agree more. Remember me Kanee, I was the one who told you not to give up, a couple of days ago. You got a new light right? Well what kind is it? You should place it as close as possible, without burning it. Leave it on 24 hrs. a day. This can become a wee bit more expensive, but your plants will love you for it. Bottom line, Don't kill them. Just Love 'em. Learn as much from this experience as possible : ]

Well that was kinda hard to read but i think i got the general concept. you started off on 12/12 and your plant stretched a lot and you want to know if you should jsut kill it and start over, right?

If it was just bagseed and nothing major, i'd say yeah, just start over. If you want to try and save it though, switch to 18/6 or 24/0 immidiately, and lower your lights to 3-4 inches (assuming you're using florescent, which it looks like).

How old is it? looks about 2 weeks to me.

but yeah, that's severely stretched. looks to me like you had your lights way too far away, and the 12/12 doesn't help much either.

right i started of wiv a standed red bulb 4 bout 2weeks .thn brought a 200w cfl light i think its called ..its a month old nearly and i got the seed out of a bag of weed ...so shell i jus kill it or put it on 18/6 for a couple of weeks thn go onto 12/12 thnks 4 the help

As far as when too flower, that kinda is up to you, and how tall you want your plant to become, after 3-5 weeks you can flower whenever. I'm not sure if they need to show sex before you flower them. Keep researching. I'm trying...

Hey bro, simply switch to 24 hrs. of light, and after a few more weeks, they should show sex (male or female), then I believe it is time to switch to flowering stage, you change lights to 12/12, and you also should change your nutes. I'm still on my first grow, so I don't know everything. Just don't give up

Some people do claim they go straight to 12/12 from seed and it seems to work for them. Your primary light must not be strong enough, or it's normal for these 12/12 grows to stretch. I mean, of course they would at 12/12.
Seems to me you need to decide if you want to try the straight-to-12/12 method, and if so, track down a 12/12 journal or three on RIU?
Whatever you do, I'd get those plants as close to those lights as possible w/o burning.

the max hight i can have is 2and half foot maybi bit more... flowering how do i start flowing the plant ?

these are the plant's stages

first 2-5 weeks - seedling 18-24 light per day
next 4-6 weeks - vegetative 24 hr light or 18/6
next 4-6 weeks - flowering 12/12 hr lights

You are at the end of seedling stage.

think i will have 2 look tht up ..and the plant is now 1-2 inch away from light ..

Yep, that's what I said, just don't burn them, if your using CFLs, it's kinda hard to butn them.

so if i start of wiv 18/6 now for 5 weeks thn go onto 12/12 ..do u think it will bi fine thnks
