Okay thanks for poppin in.. as you probs know im a newb and this is my first time.

I have 1 ak48 plant about 1.5 ft tall, 5/6 week old it is in a 4'' deep, 6'' wide pot. (roughly).
I have used 1 35w flourescent lamp to get it this far and as far as i know it is happy and healthy.
Last night my lamp decided to die on me so i have had it on my window sill for now.
I did give it M/Gro way way to early and i had a little nute burn, but all is well now.
I was hoping to upload pics but i had a little trouble with the camera lol

So my questions are..

Is the pot to small/big? if yes what size do i need?

Can i finish off the whole grow without any lighting?
for eg let it veg out on my window sill and then do something else for flowering like place in a greenhouse or plant outdoors?

When should i start feeding nutes?
i have a tomato food nute which is 5-5-10
and i also have miracle gro which is 24-8-16.

thanks:D

the window sill will give pretty modest results, you'll get something, but it will be thin
35w, was that a long tube? doesn't sound like a cfl in that wattage
you will get a much better result with some additional light, 100w is probably the least wattage, more would be better
the pot is too small, an ak48 at 1.5 ft will flower out to 4 foot easy, that should be a 4 gallon pot or so
you could start the nutes now, partly depends on when you start to flower

Okay so which nute should i use and should i start nutes at 1/2 strength or 1/4 to be safe?

and the 35w lamp is just a bedside cabinet lamp.. the type where you can adjust the neck lol..
I was told i wouldent be able to grow it at all with this light.. but i geuss my freind was wrong.
i know i need better lighting. money is just so tight atm.
I have a small greenhouse outside which has tomatos, lettuce, chilli's and peppers growing in there.. if i put the plant in there would there be any problems?

35 watt lamp?? That plant must be really stretched. Your buds will turn out shitty. Your tryig to imitate the suns lumens when you grow indoors to the best of your ability. A desk lamp is not sufficient at all man.

One of the buttons at the bottom when you make a post will say "Manage Attachments". Attach away..

I am growing ak48 right now. on week 6 of flowering.

You light is too weak. You need cfls. They are not expensive and they will produce 10x the results. Read up on cfls on this forum. You will learn the color you need for vegging and the color you need for flowering. My plants needed no stakes as they didn't stretch as bad as yours did. They are also about 5 times more full and bushy than yours. (at the same time/duration that yours have been growing)
Do you have an oscillating fan on it? You should. It'll increase stem strength and improve the plant overall due to bringing fresh air to it constantly.

That pot is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too small. I have mine in 3 gallon planter buckets. I'd guess yours to be 1/2 a gallon tops.

I dont have a fan on it atm no..
if you look in the first pic to the left.. the silver thing is a stand up fan, should i use this or would it be too powerful?

im gonna invest in some cfl's this weekend hopefully, how many do i need you think? 2 100w?

and is the nutrient's in the picture ok to use?
Tomato food - 5-5-10
M/G - 24-8-16

You can position the fan farther away if strong...but eventually the stems will get as thick as your pinkie and can handle a regular fan at full blast only 1' away.

Please read the cfl sub forum on this website...it's a section just for people like yourself (and me) But at this size I'd recommend at the very least 3 of them...one a few inches away on either side and one a few inches above.
You can buy them in 5 packs at places like Menard's/Walmart. Please read the cfl sub-forum a lot BEFORE buying them. Information is only your friend.

The nutrients are ok. Not the best even considering the price range. I like: Blood meal and unsulfered molasses for veg. and miracle grow powder 15 30 15 for flower. (the numbers of course represent the three major nutrients) You want the middle number to be higher for flowering and the first number to be highest during vegging. So your M/G can work fine for vegging period. Use VERY lightly.

BUT right after the lights...your biggest worry is too small of a pot. Buy a 3 dollar 3 gallon planter bucket and fill it up with potting soil. (DO NOT USE slow release nutrient soil...do not use MG soil)

thanks alot bro, im gonna go wack that fan on it as soon as i finish this post
and im gonna give her some MG on the next feedin.. should i go full strength half or quarter?

and how much would you say 3 100w Cfl's would cost?

i don't know where you live...don't know the cost.

but you are going to need to buy them in 5 packs if saving money is a concern.

You will need 5 cool cfls for veg, 5 warm cfls (minimum) for flower. Again read the cfl sub forum on this site.

always go light on nutrients...always.

cfl's don't seem to be so available in the UK, at least not at the price you see in the US
if you can find them for up to $4-$5(us dollars) they are a very good economical light source
if they are more expensive, you might look into conventional fluoro's or hps in the form of a cheap security light

I've heard these AKs can easily double in size during just their flowering weeks so you should transplant to at least 3 gallon pots for them to reach their potential size.
