The new growth on my plant is starting to yellow it is very slight as of right now but dont want it to get worse. I am new to growing and could use some help plant is 3 weeks 3 days old from germ. Around day 17 i got nitrogen toxicity from having to much nitrogen in my fert mix (did not start at 1/4 dose shocked my plant made my laves "claw") have sense fixed the problem and things were going well untill today i noticed the stems being very red and the tips of my new growth are slightly yellowing. I am growing on a budget like most. I have a 300w full spectrum led 12" from the plant. Water every 3-4days depending on when soil is dry. Soil mix i use is not a hot mix and i always flush my soil and sterolize before use.

Its fine how often do u feed it ? All new growth starts off a bit pale or yellow its when its goes full yellow is when u worry stop stressing its fine

I feed it every other water so about every 8-10 days i am using 1/2 strength right now. Is the redness of the stems caused by anything? I was looking things up and thought maybe magnesium deficiency?

Could be sulphur.. I’ve noticed there seems to be a lot of sulphur issues happening. Yellowing new growth which the veins as well as the margins will yellow.

It starts at new growth and works its way down, opposite to N deficiency.

Also you get those classic purple/red streaks on the stem.

I dosed mine with Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) and you can see half of the plant is streaked and the other is pure green stems.

Dosed with magnesium sulfate about a hour ago hopeing for the best!! If you look closely only the tips of the new growth are yellowing is that a sign of nute burn? Im just confused because its only new growth

Basically your right on the edge of feeding too much (a good place to be).

New growth tends to be affected by too higher nute concentration. But can appear all over the plant tips if severe.

Damn!

Crappy answers here....Was not a Ca issue!

It's hungry! FEED IT! Time to go up in feed concentration!

Thing is we have no background either!

Media is?
Add anything to that media?
Feed is?
How much?
How often?
At what pH ?
Temps of the room - night and day?
RH of the room?
Supplements?

Media is regular top soil from home depo after buying i flushed and sterolized the soil with steam Added 30% pedialyte and %10 white sand for drainage feeding foxfarm grow big at 3/4 recomended dose. Feeding every 2 waters so every 8-10 days i ph it down to 6.5 after ferts are added i just bought magnesium sulfate and added it to the mix yesterday room temp stays 75- 78f humidity unknown

you mean 30% perlite? cause pedialite is stuff they give sick kids......you know a secret?

it looks like 8 days is too long between feedings, i'd say cut back on the volume you're feeding, go up slightly in strength, and feed more often. instead of water, then 4 days later, feed, give them half as much, every other day, and make the feed about 20% stronger

Yes haha that was actually me that posted that comment i did mean perlite i was on a friends phone when i wrote that thats why the user name is different. But yes not pedialyte haha perlite
