Need help Mainline/Manifold

Hi guys I'm stuck what to do I've got two plant that I'm mainlining for 8 tops, I'm not sure if I should be cutting back the branching, my guess is it should only be 8 colas and no buds branching here their and everywhere, I'm just worried it might effect the main cola as it seems beneficial also with them being their. Any help appreciated.

What did you end up doing with those side branches? Im in the same boat, getting ready to flip to flower, but dont know if i should trim the lowest side shoots growing next to the main colas. One of my White Widows is growing great with minimal side branching, but the others not so much.
