hey to anybody reading, and thankyou in advance for your time.
i started out with 4 clones i obtained from a friend, they are approx 35 days from transplant and the roots definately started slow.
i dont have any info on the strain, im sorry but as its my first time i just took what was available however im fairly sure its a pretty standard strain it isnt anything spectacular.
now i read ALOT about mainlining from seed and clone and put what i got from the reading as my own sort of a twist.
attached i have pictures of how my "mainlined/trained" clones are currently going and also a few seeds i have started they are about 3 weeks old now and have been fimmed to now produce the 8 colas i was aiming for.
could anybody please share their thoughts on how ive done, or whether what ive done shouldn't be done second time around.
currently using 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m growtent with 600w hps bulb, coco medium with all the nutes my local shop set me up with.
also i am aware there are about 4 sites higher than my average canopy, only because i have been allowing it to grow out a few days.
probibly also worth noting i am clipping the lower new growths and lower fan leaves every week or so for which i was hoping would direct growth toward the sites i am concentrating on, is this a bad idea?

First try to take pics without HID lighting. I see some leaf canoeing. What is the temp in your grow area? And what are you feeding and how much?

according to my nute chart my nutes are mixed at correct ratios also i have a ph pen and a ec trungent so keeping that as controlled as i can.

You giving them nutes everyday?
Cut that down.

Eliminate one problem at a time and you will find the gremlins:dunce:

looks a little too thinned out. For veg I usually don't thin much if at all as each leaf is part of the photosynthetic engine, for flower I thin the plant where it won't have time to make a substantial flower.

They look ok but if your cutting the leaves off as it grows im betting its going pretty slow. You can probably mainline it without cutting off so many leaves. Might grow faster. And i think your at where you need to be to produce all the tops you want right? So id let her keep all the new growth and when she gets where you want it then flower. Should be ok.

Quit cutting leaves! They don't look healthy at all. Let em grow, and quit feeding so many nutes. Sometimes people way over think this thing.

alright, thank you.
and to support your statement yes they grow slow until a week later when they fill out and i trim them.
but thanks after rethinking that it makes alot more sense.

thankyou also, i think i will give them one day nutes one day phed water to flush the soil somewhat?
i timed the time it takes for the soil to dry a bit and its a day and a half so maybe thats a better watering schedule?

To be honest ive never mainlined. But from what ive observed in my gardening experience, i just cant see any plant growing fast or to its potential with such small power plants. ;) and i like the idea of training but with some practice id say you could leave the fans on and take the sucker branches off to go faster. Idk though, like i said, ive never mainlined so im just speculating.
