need help figuring out if plant is clone or mother? PLEASE HELP

hey everybody, quick question, I recently went to a weed expo and bought a couple of white widow plants, about 4-5 weeks old, my question is, is there anyway to tell If these plants are clones of a mother or are they grown from seed? I'm a total newbie, I just bought these plants, had no plan of growing, now I cant stop, bought myself 10 seeds online as well, just sprouted 3 of them! Very addicting! lol but please help guys.

Probably from a mother. They grew it up cut clones and sold them to you. People selling clones at a expo probably sell alot of clones and wont get rid of mother's.

Undersides of leafs for really small little bugs crawling. Sometimes you can see them without a microscope sometimes you need one. White spots on the leafs starting from bottom of plant working it's way up. Webs on the plant.

I've never kept a mother before, but I would imagine there would be obvious "scarring" where clones had been cut off previously if it were a mother. If you don't see any of that on her stalk, probably clones. I'm just going based off what I've seen regular photos do when snipped though.

holy sh*t, just read that article on growweedeasy, that scares the crap out of me, now I think about it, there are little dots on a couple of the leaves, ive had the plant for over 2 weeks now, have it in a homemade grow box in my closet, been giving it bluesky organic nutrient system with their supersoil and other than those two leaves the rest of the plant seems pretty healthy/ how lnog would it take for the plant to show serious symptoms. I'm; bout to inspect the hell out of this thing

if you've had it two weeks, they would have made significant progress, the white spots would have spread a good bit, and you would be seeing leaf damage. if you aren't seeing any of that, you're probably ok. to be safe in the future, you should isolate clones you buy for at least a week. even a cardboard box in the garage with a t5 in it will do for long enough to make sure they're clean.

Plants from seed have a ring near the bottom where cotyledons used to be(some still even have the cotys) clones dont

Good info, definitely check, clones are notoriously full of beasties, Iv had spider mites once in ten years and this was because of clones. Yellow / white dots or tiny jagged lines are usually thrips, not a big problem, more of a nuisance, unless the infestation is so huge they eat all your leaves but it's never happened, I always get them in summer because they come in the soilless mix, hard not to have them, plant usually grows faster than they can reproduce , so usually it's not a problem, if it gets really bad and I can't stop scratching after being in my tents the. I hit wm up with 1/4 strength permethrin after lights out, under leaves and a big whack on the stem and top of the medium
