Need help defoliating

I have been getting recommendations to start defoliating… It’s about day 58 of veg. I’m still just not quite sure of where I am supposed to be defoliating? I don’t want to take away the incorrect areas. I’ve watched videos but the camera never seems close enough to the actual area to get an understanding. Could someone explain a little better? Here is a photo of my plants (a little prior to watering so they are droopy)..

A couple things, start at the bottom, where the light is weakest, and clean out the understory. On the upper part of the plant, don't go crazy, you want to remove just enough to allow a bit more light to reach the bud sites, remember, those big fan leaves are the solar panels that suppy energy to the plant. I'm probably a little more cautious than most, I'm not a big fan of heavy defol.
