Need help choosing parts for my grow box.

Okay so here I am with finally enough cash to get started on a serious lighting system. Smell isn't really an issue, I have ferrets, and they smell close enough to pot to disguise the smell.

My grow area is rather small, enough for one plant I wager, maybe two. it's 6' tall, by three wide and two feet deep. Now my question here is what kind of light set up would be not only economical but also the most effective. Keep in mind my grow are isn't going to expand for the foreseeable future.

I've been looking at HTG ballast kits, and I am wondering if they are worth it compared to the expensive all frills included models. Also would a 250w HPS setup be sufficient? Are reflective shrouds necessary for the bulb? Do I need a cool tube or whatever it's called? What kind of fans do you guys recommend for ventilation? I've seen folks using computer fans, but I'm curious as to how everyone wires them up? Is there any special trick needed or will they just run off of a computer power supply?

Finally is it worth it to augment the sides of the box with two or more rows of CFLs? If so what wattage of CFL would be most beneficial to this situation?

Whew that was most of my worries I put down there. I just want to say to everyone, thanks in advance.
