you could do 20 if they were small, like zero-veg clones like I do. 4 foot plants are a waste with a 600W light, because you don't get much penetration past the top 12 inches. Lower branches will all be wispy buds.

all the time i am able this way not always but most the time get 1.2 to 1.5 pounds per harvest this way flush 2 weeks take top bus and all ripe buds leave as many fan leaves as possible then back onto the fllod tabel with the rest on a slightly lower ppm so not to burn them

I was thinking 9 plants but was told 20 will fit fine....
well it depends on what grow style you are looking at with sog what i do is veg in 4 plants per square foot (seeings how i only veg 2 weeks max) in a 4x4 tray i could cram 64 in 6"x6" square pots vegging then when they go into flower one plant per square foot is ideal to let some of the side branching join the canopy. any that don't are eliminated for more concentration on the canopy cola's. light hardly gets down there anyway so in flower i would go 16 also depending on strain of course.

if it were me i would put 20 small clones in the bed and veg for a week. you can do 5 harvests a year this wayas opposed to 4.

Personally in a 4x4 tray i would go 16 plants.

Set them up in a 4x4 arrangement, that's ~1 plant per square foot.
You can flower around 8" to 12" depending on your genetics.

PERFECT!!! With that much light I would flower 6" to 8" max and you should be golden.
