Need electric help to attach ballast and HPS

Hi i got problem....

I attached all my wires by myself from ballast to my reflector socket? when i opened my socket where the bulb is attached there is inside black and white wire.... how do i know where do i put my blue wire and brown wire?

a picture would be nice. what kind of ballast? is it a kit or a fixture? most of the time the wires are labeled in small print.
