NEED ADVICE!!

Hey y'all, I recently topped my 6 week ol' girl on her 5th node. It's been growing rapidly ever since.

Just wondering if it should remove the big fan leaves so that those little ones get more light or let it stretch first?

My plant is kinda short.

Please do advice. Any would be awesome!

It's a little to small to defoliate. Try bending it down instead or do fim or top it. I'm pretty aggressive and usually fim/top at 4th set of leaves.

I agree with wastei, it's too early to remove leaves. You'll get different opinions about defoliation. Some will say never remove leaves, others say strip the fan leaves right before flipping to 12/12 lighting for flowering, others are somewhere in the middle. IMO, don't remove any leaves until late veg or after the stretch in flower. Some plants are super bushy with hundreds of leaves and they need some defoliation for airflow and to get light to bud sites. Other plants aren't very leafy and don't really need any defoliation.

Removing them fan leaves will do nothing good to your plant. It's not like they're even covering bud sites. They are your solar panels for your plants growth

Leave it!! I defoliate too early when I first started. Majorly slows the growth. Plant goes into shock! I’ve now learnt the hard way!

thats super small to cut yet, just use some low stress training and move the fan leaves out of the way

Now all the leaves get light!
