Plant is in Coco, feeding Humboldt Secret Nutrients. A&B @500-550ppm Golden tree/ Tree Trunk@ under recommendation rate. At most 10ppm each. Calmag @ 100-120 ppm. So in total about 600-700ppm with 10-20 % runoff. Run Off PPM was always right around what inflow was maybe once or twice it got 100 ppm above. Tent temps average 77 degrees f. And humidity 65 average. VDP range was 1-1.25 at times. The plants started looking droopy within two weeks from how they looked in the picture where they were happy. So I just gave them a feeding today at 610 ppm just A&B with 50% runoff. Today’s runoff was 710 ppm. They are in 1 gal pots and I want to get them in the 5 gal fabric pots but I want them back happy before I do that. No major changes in anything during the time they started drooping. Any help is appreciated in advance. New to coco so trying to dial everything in. I tried to think of everything I can to give as much info as possible. Oh and always PH solution at 6.0. Once a week I would run calmag at 200ppm ph .6.0 to flush the soil a bit. Everything was seeming fine with the inflow and runoff and oh and temps. Not sure if it’s too much fert?? Light is at least 30 plus inches from plant top on 45% the last week. Spider farmer sf7000. Thanks in advance!

Id remove calmag feed daily to good runoff to flush out salts dont let it dry. Cocoforcannabis the website is a easy read to learn a lot of the lingo and basics of dtw coco. Drain to waste coco that is. That plant was pretty happy at first and will stay that way if you just feed them a basic solution that has everything in it like maxibloom or general hydro flora trio etc.

Thanks. I am familiar with cocoforcannabis it’s my go to when I need to refresh up on my knowledge. Dropping the calmag was my first thought which is why I dropped it starting today and just feed the A&B and keep it basic for now. I used GH 3 Part back in the days and never had issues with it in pro mix. I like the concept of the coco I just need to dial everything in. I might go back to GH after I run through the Humboldt stuff. I appreciate your response. Do you think the calmag locked out the other nutes?

My bad, I misread most of the post. I just saw “new to coco” and “ feed them today” making me think not daily fed. I get growth like that if the light is too strong. Also in flower, just what my enviorment calls for or etc despite people always pushing for more light. It will fry my plants.

I use a 235 or 260w I forget, but its a led on 25% about 2’ or higher from plants that young. I would never add calmag unless you can read a mulders chart or someone that understands chemestry tells you to add x amount. For me all it did was cause issues. Weekly flushing at that age plant sounds off but I would know about off style growing lol.

Sorry thought this was a easier fix than it may be. It might be. I just need a distraction from my own garden problems lol.

I bought a viparspectra ks3000 and it never past 50% for a full size plant. Just a thought maybe try feeding daily with no calmag and dim the light a bit. Im not the best at flower but I dont typically have veg issues. Im growing new strains that are adapting just fine.

looks over-watered and underfed, how often are you watering? is the soil all the way dry before you water?
So when it was happy I was watering once a day every 2-3 days. I wouldn’t let it dry per se but let the pot get a little lighter in weight before I watered again. The top layer of coco didn’t even turn light brown before the next watering. So I wouldn’t say I let it dry in between waterings and it still got to the drooping. So with reading a bunch of threads on coco and how to water which there are some who say everyday, to multiple times a day etc. so I’m not sure if I want to do the multiple times a day right now so I don’t over water. I only water to the 10-20% runoff when I do water. So since I water the the basic A&B today I’ll wait a day or so before the next watering. I definitely feel it wants more nitrogen but also feel the calmag and locking the NPK out which might be my issue if watering isn’t? Thanks for your reply highly appreciated it! Any info helps

Ok cool, I am going to lower the level of the light and continue to feed without the calmag daily and see if she perks up. She is not showing a bunch of issues. I think the calmag is definitely locking out the ability to uptake the NPK that’s she wants and needs. I appreciate you. Thanks

You might need to play with the ec I was at .8ec and had to go to 1.7ec which most wont believe but one person actually told me to. They were right since then. Thing is going high to low with damage done already may be tricky, I went from low to high until it grew lush again.

Before I forget, I wouldnt do 5 gallon that may worsen issues making harder to dial in. 3 gallon is enough to make unruly big plants I was warned about didnt listen till I got PM. The 1 gallon could make the same size plant, save water and just make it a little easier to work with. My plant can fill a 3x3 easy in one gallon.

2 gallon might be better but I like the less water being used even feeding 12x a day. My 5 gallon bucket still lasts 24 hrs.

Interesting! I just might do the 3 gallon pot instead. Thanks for the info. And I’ll up the nutes maybe a little bit at a time. I did up the NPK in today’s feeding since I dropped the calmag. So I’ll see how it goes.

Id try dimming light first if no one else has anything to add. Im no expert Im somewhat of a noob myself but Im far from day one. If to up the ec Id look out for runoff ec being higher than inflow by over .3 ec if so it needs adjusting. Maybe back down ec again or play with the frequency meaning how many times a day fed.

Sometimes that will indeed add feed to your plants. If you feed 8x a day unneeded it can make plants darker. I know because I went to 4x a day and got might lighter growth. I changed everything from ground up almost so I got lots of dialing in to do myself.

You can check out my journal if you want its called medidedicated in all caps. Heres some plants that are only 1 liter big pots seem to be doing well. One of my clones look like shit but its about harvest time. Dialing things in is a real thing but it boils down to basic stuff. Just when everything was looking better I had to start over.

It looks a good color like its got a good ec dose I literally solved this growth by just backing off on the light. Calmag added just gave me faded leafs turning complete yellow from bottom up which may be whats starting to happen. Youd need to understand this chart if youre going to add calmag.

I shouldnt of brushed over water source its pretty important if its ro that changes some things, some add calmg because of that. Some say adding calmg is never needed. I personally never had to. Is this tap water? How high is the ec of it? If too high it can cause issues too.

I was told my tap water isnt good its .5ec but its gotten me by. Just an example of how it could get difficult, could create a guessing game one said. Many say if its decent tap should be fine.

I’ll check out your journal. My bad I did forget to mention I am using RO so it was at 0ppm to start with, that’s why I was using the calmag how I was. I know I will need to use it, maybe just not as much as I was.

Coco should be saturated at all times and fed daily to substantial run off......not every 3-4.
One gallon pots.......you should be feeding multiple times a day.
Ok thanks, what is your advice with when and how much calmag I should use? Every watering, every other, as needed by what the plant shows signs of needing, etc?? And what would you think I might need dealing with at the moment with my post?? Appreciate you response!

I'm not familiar with the nutes you are using, but considering you're using r/o water, you probably need to add calmag with every feeding. I never have to use calmag because I use tap water.
Start feeding multiple times a day to run off and your problem should straighten out.
Never plain water.

I started out with ro water and calmag with nutes by the way, came here and learned to remove it and had the results one should. I dont get why, rather with or with out ro. My tap water isnt the same form of calmag that calmag has. I forget what they were its basically calmg but its not the type plants can uptake I know that.

Il disclaim that right now I dont have much experience in ro water dtw coco but have read a lot of what people have to say. Some think ro isnt that good for dtw coco but if its all you have..

I switched to tap when I found mine was usable and was tired of buying ro its best to have a system. A system is just too much I have enough signs my tap should be ok. I got one wild behaving setup at the moment though and just winging it. I think Il get there again just takes a few grows.
