Need advice on topping and autoflowers

i have just started my new grow with big buddah cheese automatic but im wondering is it safe to top an autoflowering strain or will this stress it too much? ive never tried autos before so not sure about this.

Since the lifespam of an autoflower is predetermined, it's not going to benefit you to top them. If you had all summer for them to grow 4 new colas it would be nice but you only have about 2 months and it's harvest time.

I have one going right now that I topped. Seemed to slow it down for a week or so, but is doing just fine now. I expect the individual buds to be smaller than the one cola would have been, but the overall yield to be slightly more. I topped as soon as I could get just the main stem above the second set of nodes for 4 tops.

the last several autos i've grown i topped them and got beautiful results. the trick is to get one that finishes in about 80 days or so. the next step is to grow the seedling as quickly as possible for the first 7-10 days. just had to try this and i wind up with multiple colas that yield excellent harvests. these are northern light autos.
