need advice 35 days into flower

Hey everyone,

I switched my plant to 12/12 lighting 35 days ago. It is Royal Queen Special Kush #1. I was hoping to get some advice on what to expect from here on out..

As you can see from the pictures I topped a few times resulting in a pretty solid plant. Since this plant has so many bud areas, should I expect a longer flowering time? I'm 35 days in and I am leaving for a week in 32 days.. I think its probable she wont be ready to harvest beforehand. From the pictures, can anyone tell if she is behind/ahead of schedule? Do you think I will need longer than 32 more days? I know its impossible to pinpoint an exact date, but if anyone has experience estimating flowering time it would help me find a trusting babysitter. Royal Queen says the flowering time for the seeds are 7-8 weeks. Im thinking longer?

you seem to be pretty well on track. I would think another four weeks or so max... you'll be looking at them in about three weeks wondering if its time. I have a kush strain going now that doesn't look like it will go over eight weeks. You should be able to harvest right before you go. You should see a lot of growth between weeks five and seven, right where you are. Your plants might be a few days behind where mine usually look at 35 days but not by much. Nice job, looking good.

What they said^. Chop em the day before you leave. Leave the leaves on and dry the plant whole. By the time you get back, they'll be ready to manicure and jar up. Looks great! Congrats.

thanks for the advice guys. i know one thing for sure.. staring at it does not make it grow faster!

So the clock is ticking.. I'm 50 days into flower. I only have 17 days left before I have to leave home for an extended period of time.. Please take a look (5 photos below) and let me know if you think I'll make it.. This is the furthest I've been (1st female plant) so I'm no expert, but it looks to me that the buds aren't really growing yet.

In addition, the tips of all the fan leaves are yellowed.. No fan leaves have died, just the tips look yellow. Any ideas?

Also, is it normal for a flowering plant to need much more water? I found it needs water every 4 or 5 days. In vegetative growth, it only needed water every 8-9 days.

Thanks again for any input you guys can provide. Overall, I think she looks pretty good.. Hopefully she will be done in time.

why did you top them in flower? that's your first problem you just took away 2-3 weeks of flowering time you can't get back

I didnt top them in flower, I topped them during veg.

They look like a hybrid leaning more to sativa dominant to me. Maybe 90 days. Wuajakajak dont get scared. Wuajakj. Happy growing!!

6 more weeks. Lol

I know we have different strains going but the plants I just gave away (moving) would only be 35 days today and are further along then yours. Then again, the flowering time on your strain may be longer.

topping a plant during flower will not delay it for 2-3 weeks

dont worry about the yellow tips, your plant looks healthy you have done a pretty good job growing her
this plant does not look anything like kush, not sure what special kush is maybe a haze cross

royal queen seeds do not have the best reputation either
the plant looks like some kind of fucked up haze hybrid to me

anyway it should not look like that at 50 days even if it was a 12-14 week sativa it would still have more bud development at 50 days
i think you have been unfortunate to be growing some poor genetics/bad phenotype from these seeds
those crazy long pistils and poor inter node spacing, single buds growing on those thin stalk branches
so many haze hybrids grow like that some of them are very poor yield and do not build colas
a plant can grow perfectly healthy but still lack the ability to form flowers correctly

you should seriously consider starting some new seeds now, to minimize time lost

as at some point
you might have to face the fact that if this plant don't put on some weight in the next 14 days you might as well
chop it , see if you can get anything worth smoking from it, and get some new genetics in there,
preferably not from royal seeds though
