I grew up in Colorado... the city is big and pretty cool and the mountains are fun to explore/camp/ski if you're into that kind of thing. Weed aside... I would def prefer to live in Denver over Oregon.

I spent some time in Oregon, and I like the fact that you can live anywhere from snow in winter, to no snow in winter, to snow in winter overlooking the ocean.

Plenty of small friendly towns where you can still go shopping and leave your car doors unlocked and not worry.
