N00b gr0w/PiC....check it out and comment

Ok guys/ladies im a n00b so dont bust my balls to much lol.

Im using miracle grow w/ perlite mixed in, it says it drains better. The container seems to be a good size i believe, and i have two 26w-6500k daylight cfl bulbs but i am only using one till i get extension for elctricity.
Im growing in my walk in closet which is a decent size

and the seeds is just reggie.

In the pic you guys see please send comments, suggestions, tips, or let me know what im doing wrong so i can correct it.

Lol yeah I just started it yesterday after I bought the stuff from wal mart. Lol. But do u guys think that's enough lighting for that kind of seed??

I will post a pic when it starts to pop until then I'm just waiting for my feel good medicine. Lol. And if this works out do you guys know where I can buy seeds but trusted places.

And if u guys are like mea noob or not and got thread(s) that you wanna share let me know.

OK THIS IS THE 3RD DAY AND ONE LITTLE BABY POPPED OUT. I HAD PUT THREE SEEDS IN THERE AND ONE OF THREE I GERMINATED, BUT WE WILL JUST WAIT AND HOPEFULLY IT WLL SHOW.

IN THE PICS I PROVIDED CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THE LIGHT SHOULD BE CLOSER OR BACKED UP?

ALSO HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD I WATER IT?

Water when it looks dry, spray the leaves, they like that. No nutes for now. What is the wattage on your light?
Get it as close as you can without burning the plant, if it feels hot to your hand, its too hot for the plant.

ok will do bro....the cfl is a 26w daylight. this morning getting home from work i saw a tiny little bug it looked white or a yellowish. any ideas of what??? and if its a bad thing lol

Well I'm not sure, it could be a variety of insects, either beneficial or harmful, not sure unless I could see a pic. But be ready to get more CFLs, you'll need more once the plant gets some leaves on it. But that one should work for at least a week .

ok cool. and i have another same light bulb i just have to get an electric extension so i can plug it in. and since its reggie is it gonna be stinky in there?

Once you start flowering it yeah, but assuming you used bagseed its not necessarily going to be "reggie" you could get a great plant with dank bud. Once it starts flowering, it will smell, but thats still several weeks away. Although you are going to need more than just two 26 watt bulbs, that will work for a 2-3 weeks max, than you'll need to increase to maybe 4 or 5 bulbs, more if possible, all around the plant. Once you start flowering you can mix in some warm cfls for better bud production.

The odor thing is NOT a given! There some strains out there that just don't give off much smell. They will smoke fine and taste great, but not much tell-tale odor.

Yeah, ur right, I forgot to mention that, there are some strains which don't produce any smell at all. I fortunately have a carbon filter, as I like to grow a few different strains, some smell very strongly.

That is an incandescent grow bulb which is wayy too hot, inefficient and is no good. You need a 5500k to 6500k bulb. In terms of watering, seedlings in soil should be kept not too dry and not too wet whereas later on you can go longer between waterings. I would read up on the FAQ section of this site if I were you

ok thanks for the info. i appreciate all comments from everyone. o and instead of alot of those bulbs would it be easier just to get a cfl with a higher wattage???

Yes. There will be fewer complications and better light penetration when you get fewer high wattage CFL's as opposed to many low watt CFL's.

I would highly recommend getting 1 100watt (actual watt) 6500k bulb for vegging and 1 100 watt 2700k bulb to add for flowering
