:peace::joint: hello everybody. I have just recently started an inside grow. I have 1 plant. Here is a list of my stuff I have for my set up...
a 10 gallon fish tank(its what I'm using as my grow box)
a critter cage that I've lined the inside with mylar, I also did this with the 10 gallon fish tank as well.(the cage is used as a top for the fish tank, without it i would only be able to grow my plant 1 foot tall, with it I'm able to grow it about 3 foot.)
1 40 watt cfl & 4 26 watt cfls
2 6 in. desk fans
black garbage bags.

so this is what i did, I took the fish tank & put mylar on the inside of it. Then I took the cage top & cut cardboard to fit all of the sides then I covered the cardboard with mylar. I then super glued the cardboard on the inside of the cage. I then attached a power strip to the inside of the cage. I plugged in my lights into the power strip using Y sockets. Then I ran a power cord inside the tank & taped it to the side wall where I put 1 26 watt cfl. On the power strip I have 1 40 watt cfl & 3 26 watt cfls. the lights are, like I said hooked to the cage so they are not right on top of my plants. I actually have them about 2 inches away from my plant. I then put in 2 6 inch fans. 1 of the fans is in the bottom of the tank facing upwards, the 2nd fan is hooked to the top of the cage facing downwards. I then set the cage on top of the tank & proceeded to tape black trash bags around the entire outside of my box (box meaning the tank & the cage attached together) so that no light gets in or out. The only problem I have is with the heat of the box. I have to put in 2 2liters of frozen water twice a day. so what do you guys think? any tips would be great & I also except constructive criticism. so let me have it what can I do about the heat? anybody? I'm here all the time just let me know:peace::joint:

You need to bring in fresh air somehow.
Fresh air has CO2 in the air, plant's need CO2 to grow.

Plus, you need to exhaust your room. I think just by cutting a hole at the top will be sufficient.

Typically fresh air comes in through the bottom and it's then exhausted at top.

Replenishing your room with new air will keep your temps down.

The fan's that you have inside the box are only necessary to keep the leaves moving.

Exactly what he said.
Remember what convection is?

Hot air rises, therefor it'll be easier to vent from a higher point than if you were trying to vent from a lower point..

I also think one of the main problems is that you've taped bin bags all over it..
That's gonna heat it up a ton..

Another problem is you're using a glass grow room, so it'll be harder for you to even cut it and install ventilation fans.

My suggestion would be to get a couple of toy boxes, ya know Rubbermaid or whatever you Americans use.

I'm feeling highly stoned and i'm making pictures for most of my posts..

enjoy my amazing art.

:peace::joint::blsmoke: First let me thank you for your reply it is greatly appreciated. Second, I have a hatch that I leave open to get fresh air in. I also put a 12 inch osilating fan on the top of the opening to blow more air in. I was thinking of setting it the other way to extract air but I turn the fan on medium so it blows air in & out. Do you think this is ok?:peace::joint::blsmoke:
