My roommates plant male or female?

I started flowering about 2 weeks ago and was wondering if my roommates plant was a male or female? much appreciated thank you

I think you need to back off your nutes.. or get back on them.. the old growth looks burnt and the new growth looks deficent. So i'm not sure if you burnt then let off too much.. can you elaborate on any of this for me???
