My Orange Girl is dying

Both of these plants were planted at the same time. Obviously the Mekong High is going to be larger than just about any other strain you grow it next to, but the Orange Bud plant on the left is dying. I woke up one morning when she was about 4 days old - and she was lying limp, all the way down and bent over at the base of the stem. I gave her some water and she perked back up within 10 minutes, but she couldn't stand up on her own so I tied her to a q-tip. I later modified that by burying her deeper. The stem suffered a catastrophic crimp and each day it became smaller and smaller where the crimp is. The stem has been providing just barely enough nutrients to give it a slow death versus a fast one. It's about 2 weeks old (dummy me I didn't record the plant date). She's actually about an inch taller but I buried her further to support the crimped stem.

So my question - which I am sure is asinine - is can I clone a plant this small? I don't know a thing about cloning (or growing for that matter) but if anything can be done for her I would sure like top try it. I didn't realize how attached I was going to get to these babies! Out of 11 seeds I only have 4 plants that made it, and my orange girl is one of them. The other three look healthy, although I'm having an issue with some teeny tiny bugs that are the size of a pin head, but I'll that question in the proper section. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

PS if anyone is curious, the other three strains are Mekong High, White Widow, and one Cannatonic (out of 4) that survived. I just got another pack from Attitude with the 5 Botafumeiros and 10 free assorted (though they actually gave me 12 free ones!) but I want to become better at germinating and growing before I plant any of them.

Its probably damning off which occurs when the plant is over watered. I can see your soil has 0 perlite which is a recipe for no drainage and soil that is too damp. I would say she is a lost cause, I had a similar thing happen when I inadvertently pinched a stem on a seedling with a humidity dome, she stuck around for a few days but eventually bit the bullet.

Nothing to clone off of the plant is to small. They are real fragile at this stage. Like Bezy said you need soil with perlite. I use maricle-grow moisture control.

Okay thanks for the info. I didn't know what Perlite is I will go get some right now. My book Marijuana Grow Basics by Jorge Cervantes just came in today - I should have waited before I planted them until after I have at leaqst read the first couple of chapters. The book looks excellent. I also have Rosenthal's Growers Handbook and it is excellent, but this one O got today looks much more user friendly and more like a step-by-step. Thanks for the suggestions.
