My next rubbermaid/cfl grow. plans before the grow journal

hey Herbavours it's Canna,

ok so Now that I'm officially home for good, and I finally have stable income, I'm planning on starting up another grow. Sadly i still don't have enough space for a closet grow and it's too late to grow outdoors.I have to keep it stealth because my room is in the basement, and the water meter man goes in there at least once a month. He most likely wouldn't see it even if it was out in the open because the meter is near the door and the grow site is far away from there. however the smell might give it away, so i have to be very careful about the babies odor.

my idea: is to make a grow box (possibly 2) out of two 20gal rubbermaids stacked on top of eachother. I'm thinking scrog setup with lights not only on the canopy and the sides, but also comming from the stalk or the rim of the grow container/pot/medium. an intake fan at the bottom and an exaust fan at the top or the upper back region of the grow box, with a carbon filter attached to the exaust fan from the inside. also I plan on having the whole system run on a timer.


things I need to think about1) I want the setup to be clean and functional so im planning on makind a door on the side of the grow box so that I can really get inside and not just have a birds eye view of the plants from the top of the grow box.
(2) keeping the heat down. as you know, grow rooms can get really hot. but what some of you don't know is that, it can be a huge prblems for rubbermaid grows because it can warp, or melt the grow box. once you have that problem tops don't fit right, any fixtures or attachments to the grow box is not going to work properly, or not at all. So i believe keeping the heat down is going to be my biggest issue, but once i find the solution, it won't be a problem. maybe larger intakes/exausts
(3) what plants i'm going to grow. I've been doing some research on autoflowering plants, and i must say I'm very interested. you know, somthing with a good yeild, time ratio. If i can get two setups going, maybe i'll wholesale the yeild to friends or something, make some extra money for these bill collectors. lol

anyway, as you can see i have some ideas. I really want to make this as fool proof and as legit as possible, so ideas would be greatly appreciated.it takes a forum to grow so dank nugs lol. Im going to go smoke with one of my bud buddies, so if you guys have any ideas please let me know so i can get this grow journal started. thanks alot and keep rolling!!!

look at my posts ive done 2 rubber maid grows. main thing is getting cool air in and a lot of it and if I was you i would do some sort of frame work to hold the light that would stay in the bottom half. mine was a pain to open cuz the top had the light and fans with cords coming out. just my 2 cents lol

Don't grow in an area where people go in and out regularly... or actually- do it. Keep the heat off the rest of us.

seriously though - not a smart idea bro.

if whos ever house it is if there cool with it do it and just do what it takes to keep it hidden. if smell is your worry just make the investment in a carbon canister. and just keep it covered with a dark sheet. i had ppl that didnt know i was growing in the same room they never asked or smelled a thing make it look like a night stand or something like that.

no..................sigh i guess it's my fault for not explaining in full detail. Nobody goes in the basement like you think. only the meter man and when he comes i'm home because the door is locked from the outside. Other than him, NOBODY comes down here. I grew down here times before right out in the open. it's not ppl seeing it. it's the smell cuz who is stopping him from going back to HQ and telling them that he smelled something funny in my house? there are plenty of ppl on this site alone that have grown in simular situations. every home owner has to deal with a meterman, cable installation people, plumbers, etc. even ppl who rent have to deal with shit like that. Does that mean we should stop growing? of course not, just gotta be more careful..................

thats dope bro. I want to build a cab, i just do not have the room for it. it kills me cuz honestly my spot is legit, just cramped. so im stuck with another rubbermaid untill spring. but at least im thinking bigger and i'm expecting some good yeilds. i'll stubscribe when you put up the pics and stuff...

yeah man good luck with the rubbermaids, my home stays to warm to be able to run a setup like that, with the above mentioned things that could happen due to heat lol, so I had to go with a pc, but I've seen some posts around with people using rubbermaid so I'm sure you'll get the info you need... good luck
