My minigrow-op journal :)

So, I am 16 and I'm currently growing in my room. I'm trying to keep things at a minimum because I take this as more of a hobby than an actual source of money.
If anyone wants to give me tips, tricks or suggestions you are very welcome.
So, the tall one is about two weeks old, it has grown too big because it didn't have the proper lighting. It got transplanted today into a larger cup. The smaller one though is about 5 days old, and this is the one I got my hopes up for.
Currently I'm growing under 85W CFL and the seeds are unknown breed and unfeminized.
I am a noob so to say, I added some grow fert I found in a local Bauhaus to the water.
If I am doing anything wrong PLEASE let me know! :D :leaf:

So these are my girls at the moment.
Is "the big one" good for around three weeks after coming out of the soil?
It only was under that CFL for a week, so i think it's a bit lagging in the proccess.
As for the little one, the leaves are a bit strange... Is this OK?
Is the light too close to the seedlings?
Thanks for help, ill keep you updated.

Okay first your too young to be growing. not to burst your bubble but how do you suppose you are to keep a growing plant on your counter and not have your parents notice? J/W secondly your plants are struggling hard!! you have not enough lumens and no way to inclose the light you are loosing light and thats clearly shown in your plants growth. Im not telling you to continue to grow because your parents wouldn't appreciate that. But if "I" were growing it i would make some sort of enclosure such as a dresser, cabinet, speaker box, old pc tower etc.. line the inside with some reflective material increase my light output so that my plants arent racing for the stars. I would also retransplant the little girl into a bigger pot deeper in the soil. She shouldn't need straws to hold her self up. Thirdly and probably most important i would quit giving the plant nutes and quickly flush the soil with lots of water. you wouldn't feed a baby steriods so you shouldn't feed a seedling nutes. Wait until the plant has enough of a root system and and about 3 -4 sets of leaves. Then start with a minimal amount of nutes and slow increase the dosage to a desired amount. I'll post a picture of my baby at 1 week and show you the difference between mine and your 3 week old. *my week old*View attachment 2046976

OK, so. The first thing is, that my parents are perfectly aware of my growing and they are OK with it. So that problem is sorted out :)
Soaking with water? OK. How many times per day should i water them?
I will quit on nutes till i get some more leaves growing.
Thanks for the replies!

Go to your local hydro store and get fox farm ocean forest and also get tiger bloom nutes , check out my little 35 gal Rubbermaid set up that'll work perfect for you if your parents know. I just went to home depot got 2 35 gal tubs , 4 light sockets(the kind u would install in your home) 6 bulb splitters and then went to radio shack for comp fans and Walmart for reflective emergency blanket. All you need to do is flip the tubs ontop of each other cut an intake hole on the bottom of the tub and an exhaust on the very top put a fan either blowing out of the top or in on the bottom . Then just put 2 light sockets on the to and 2 on the sides bottom tub (I hot glued mine to the inside of tub. If any of this sounds like anything you'd be interested in I have a grow journal open now and I'm growing in one

Miko, thanks for the tips.
At the moment, I probably will stay at my own setup, i will just add more water without nutes.
As I said, this is my first grow and I'm not going fullscale.
I do have a lot of seeds left and when I have some time I will setup a desktop with lights so that my plants will be able to grow more potently.
As for my current plants - in how much time do you think the plant will grow to its fullest potential with this light?
I will start adding the nutes you advised when I see more leaves coming out from the plant. It's plain water until then.
Thanks for all the tips!

If that's the case then just do as buddy said and get a tote get a multi bar and plug in sockets at your hard ware store for a tote you want about 3 cfls and not to second guess the last reply but don't get the 2700k bulbs just yet buy three 5600 k bulbs bury your plants 2 inches to the first set of leaves and have them two to three inches from the bulb cut a hole on both ends length ways on the tote place a fan on one side so the old air and heat can be pushed out the other hole the whole set up shouldn't cost more than 40 dollars

Will do.
Can you just tell me how many times per day should i water it?
I used to water them every second day in the morning. Should I increase that?

Water it well then pick up the pot it'll b heavy don't water again till the pot feels lighter or stick ur finger in the soil it should be moist about an inch down if it's not then water

Allow the soil to dry before watering it again . It should always be water it wait till its dry then water again , this makes your roots grow to find the water instead of being lazy roots lol

Well when they are young the soil should never get dry always moist. Then when they have a developed root system then do as buddy said

And it really all depends on the plant some love water and will wither quickly If left to dry while others puff up easily when wet to often and the roots start to lose functionality. Just watch the plant and find the trends if this is your first time expect some disappointment and learn from it the next time for get about ur bag seed order some seeds online and pick a hardy strain. Oh and you said your using an 85 w bulb my best advice is to replace it with at least two 100 w do that and watch the difference

Sure thing.
The problem is that in my country grow lights are quite expensive.
Don't you think that I can use my current light for about two months or so to get it a bit bigger and then buy some more lights?
As I said, I am new and green and I experiment :D
Started watering two times a day.
Thanks for all the concern and help!
