My harvest is drying and it smells like hay,,why?

can anyone tell my why my harves smells like hay? been drying for a few days now. is that normal or did i do something wrong?

It means its not cured yet, you need to hang for a week and then jar and open every day to air out.

Yep... Needs to hang to dry for 7-10 days, then into a paper sack for a couple days, then into the jars.. It'll take a good week or two in the jars, opening them up for an hour or so every day, before you'll start to smell less hay and more what you want to smell...

did you dry it in the dark? Because if not the chrolophyl (prolly misspelled that) won't die as quick and make it smell and taste bad
