my first plant

had a little accident the other day while watering , had a little vertigo episode and fell into the plant and broke the main stem . i tried to patch her up but this morning it was looking really sad , leaves yellowing and curling . so i am going to chop it .

its still needed two weeks at a minimum , could have been worse .....

so how do you think i did so far ? i did this off the cuff without internet or any experience with a crappy kingled light .

i trimmed off the fan leaves and those that dont have any visible trichomes ... is it worth keeping those for maybe an extract or just mulch em up ?

my second plant is still going strong and ill wait till its finished before chopping it down ... now i just need to figure out to dry this , i had planned on using the tent

uh oh , 50 views and no comments ... it must be terrible news I'm in for .

i am rather happy , I've never bought weed that looks as good as this does to me . the weed i have had over the years that looks better then this has always come from a grower not a seller . or a dispensary .

this will be the very first time in my life that ive had weed security ... no more buying a bags of weed from shady people ...

If that happens again just cut the snapped part of the plant off and let the rest grow. Plant will still grow just fine. Some people chop main colas and let the lower growth keep going a few weeks. No problems there my friend. Looks good though either way great job! Drying can be done so many different ways just try to keep it as close to 60/60 as you can. I run mine at 70°F & 60 RH works a charm still that's the best I can get. You can use a paper bag, tent, cardboard box etc. Just have good circulation and do not put a fan directly on plants. You just want steady clean airflow. Good luck on drying and congrats on your first grow!

Looks like it will be a nice smoke. I just cut the plant up into manageable lengths and hang up in my flat from a wire, suspending the lengths from clothes pegs. I don't dry it in the dark. Usually in 3 days or so the buds are dry enough to snip off into a jar, and then I just open the jar briefly once a day or less often and smoke it as needed. I've never dried plants in the dark.
I've dried tobacco leaves before and those things can continue to photosynthesise for weeks or even months literally if drying in the presence of light.
Parts of the tobacco leaf die and dry out while big sections are still green and clearly not dead yet lol.
But weed dries out pretty quick and it doesn't stay alive like tobacco leaves do.
As for your fan leaves, maybe try to crush them up a bit (not too much) once dry and dry sift them to collect a bit of kif/kief.
