My First Master Kush...

Got this plant on 5/23 was told it is 5 weeks since clone. Not sure what medium was used pre-me, but I did use FF Ocean for transplanting and and I ph'd the water at between 5.5 & 6, I put it in a 20X20X20 (it's a tad bigger but pretty close) this has 5 70w floro's and is lined with mylar.

I figured this journal would be a good way for me to keep track of progress and give me something to keep me from making impatient mistakes, I'll probably still make some stupid mistakes, lol, but maybe having you guys watching will help me out by not letting my stupid mistakes turn into deadly ones... lol

To start off with I think I gave her a watering a tad early the first time, the dirt was still moist but was kinda felt a little like it did out of the bag, but honestly I don't think it was ready. This was Sunday morning, so I figure it won't need any more till Wed but I will do the finger test and this time wait till the med is a bit drier.

Almost one week since I brought her home and I feed her two days ago 1/4 strength FF Big Bloom and some Super Thrive. I have seen no new newt burn and she seems to be doing just fine. I trimmed her up a tad, got rid of some of the lower foliage.

I plan to increase the newt to 1/2 strength next feeding, now I need to decide if that will be next watering (should be tomorrow) or go every other watering with the newt's, please let me know what you think please chime in and give me some advice.

I also started a few seeds some I know some I don't know, the guy at the local dispensary gives me a few seeds he collects out of the bags of product he gets every once in a while. I purchased a few Bubba Kushberry seeds and started 3 of the 10 and so far 2 popped! I was also about to smoke two new strains I just got (Jack Herer X Blueberry and then OG Mango) and a found a seed in each one so of course they are in the Dome and we will see if anything happens. I don't have big hopes for these as the seeds did look to be a big small and light colored so they may not be any good.

But out of the ones that did pop, I have 2 Bubba Kushberry's and 2 unknown sprouts. I transplanted them into some FF Ocean and added some "Plant Success" it is a Mycorrhizae that I was told is a beneficial fungi that attaches itself to the root and acts like a straw around your roots helping oxygenate the roots and help it drink better and easier. Anyone use this?

I figured I would show off these in here also, enjoy the pics and please feel free to chime in and let me know if I need anything else

I'll post some more pic's later she is doing very good. I have added some more plants as of yesterday (9 new clones). I would like a little advice please, sorry this may be a little long:

I would like to set myself up for a perpetual type of grow and have something to harvest every two weeks, yes very similar to Al B Fuct - get a harvest every 2 weeks, this is where I got the idea. However, their are a few things different, like he uses a hydro and no veg time vs me I would like to use soil and give a two week veg. I would like to use this concept of a 'production line' to grow, for example, I want to be moving from one station to the next every 2 weeks. I know I will have a bit harder time of this than what he has set up, because I am just starting out and do not plan on using only one strain for this and getting several strains to finish up at the same time will be a tricky, if not impossible depending on the strains, but I do plan on using strains that do average 60 days of flower. I am sure I will have to make some adjustments to flowering schedule for some of the strains and a good journal should help with this, I hope.

So, to sum this up, my assembly line set up will have me taking clones and then moving them from area to area every two weeks in the hope to have a harvest every two weeks. I am planning to have 5 strains 4 plants each for a total of 20 plants to harvest every two weeks. I figure that I might have to stagger some of the strains to accommodate the strains finishing time, but once I have a few harvest's down I figure I can make it work.

Now, here is where I could use some advice:

1) Does my plan seems reasonable? Do I have reasonable expectations?

2) My current Master Kush plant is a bit more than twice the size of the other plants I have, I figured when I bought her she would be a good 'mother' for me, but since I have brought home these new clones and they they are not ready for flower yet I was kind of thinking that I will just put this plant into flower instead and use one of the new close for a 'mom' when they grow a bit more. My thinking is that I can get one plant through the assembly line, and since I purchased two clones of each strain I can veg these for two weeks pick my mother then take my clones and the other plant not used as mom goes into flower. My assembly line get started and first harvest is small and manageable work out newbie issues and Q's, then two weeks later it increases from one plant and one strain to 5 plants 5 strains, then jump up to 20/5. Is this a good idea or should I keep her as a mom as planned and take clones and get these other ones about the same size and do the assembly line thing then?

I know this is a lot and I am kinda flying by the seat of my pants but I was expecting these new clones to be waaaaay farther along than they were when I picked them up and this has kinda altered my original plans a bit, so I am having to improvise and now need some advice.

Thanks to those that punished themselves with reading this post (lol... I know this was long and rambly) and even more thanks to those that offer up some friendly advice.

Here are a few of my newbie's they are:

2 X AK47
2 X Master Kush (so now I have 3)
2 X White Widow
3 X Kindu Kush

They were a bit droopy and unhappy being in the bed of my truck (it's got a cover) for like 4 hours! But they are much happier now.

I'll get a few more photo's of the original Master Kush a bit later.

So I have figured out that I was vegging this plant under 40 watts of floros not the 350w's that were the MAX wattage the ballasts could handle! wow I am so friggin dumb sometimes! :wall::dunce::wall: and the worst part of the whole thing was that I had a 200w bulb and hood sittin just waiting for me to hook up, so I finally did and noticed how much brighter this one 200w is compared to the 5 x 70 part of the cab, I start lookin and the bulbs are 8w each!!! LOL

This was last Friday, so she had gotten more light over the weekend, but there was more to come... On Monday evening I set up a 4X4 grow tent with a 400w MH (it's convertable so I can also run an HPS too) it also has a 170cfm fan and a carbon filter. Oh man! I LOVE THIS THING!!! (shit I know what's comming next... can you same more money to spend, damn it!!! Why did I have to set this thing up!!!) So she along with a few other friends have been split up between the 200 and 400 as of Monday night and she is exploding! Her trunk doubled, all of her stems have ballooned and the same with the leafs they are crisp but full like the plant was a balloon and someone has blown a bunch of air in it... anyways I am pretty stoned and know I am rambling on so here are some of the latest photos.....

Oh yeah, I have been watering her about EOD she is dry down about as far as my index finger can reach so it's about time. I have been adding FFBig Bloom started at 1/4 and have worked up to 1/2, planning to go as much as she wants (until she shows signs of burn then I will back off to last amount) and SuperThrive).

The newbie's have all spent about 3 weeks under the same conditions in a duplicate box to what I built (it was the prototype) so they got lots of stretching but no thickness, up to the last 3 days. They also were starting to get infested with spider mites as of last weekend and were treated Monday so they had some trama recently before coming over, poor things

yeah one of the first big things I started to notice was how purple the stems started to get, some of the stems for the fan leaves are bright purple and the parts of the stem than thins and goes into the leave are this same color, and parts of the main stem are a neon green (maybe a tad exaggeration, lol, but not by much!) stripes in between bright purple stripes, it is amazing to see, at least to me...

I wish I had a better camera but my stupid one cant even get close to showing what I am talking about.

WOW has it really been a week? I have had soooo much crap happen, check this:

1 - Wife wins a Womens WSOP event seat that is happening last weekend so we are rushing around Sat morn to drive out to Vegas (event was Sun-Tue eve) I watered plants and set controls on A/C for weekend, meanwhile she has lost her DL so has NO ID to claim her ticket needless to say panic was the theme of the day! Leave to Vegas and little did I know she had turned the A/C OFF!!!! of course because we were going to be gone she didn't think it needed to be on!!!! Of course my fault for not explaining the reason plants don't like 95+ temps!!! Everyone survived except one and that one may still be ok.

2- I'm having temp issues so I am tapping into my cent A/C for that side of the house, our master bed and bath have it's own a/c so I am using it for better temp control. Anyways I go to Home Depot and I ask for help getting some ducting from a top shelf, well after 3 calls over the loud speaker requesting service and about 20+ minutes I figure I could get it myself faster and long story short I fell off the shelf and broke my HEEL!!!

3- then to top it all off my brother in-law totaled his moms car on his B-Day totally not his fault and he is not too banged up, the usual stiffness and a few ribs broke I think but we'll see once the xrays come back

I'll get a few pic's up later on today they are looking so much better.
