My first H20 cure

Hey guys,
so I was curious on water curing so I decided to try one plant.
My electric haze. I fed in nutes all the way up to the day of harvest.
I read a post by i think videoman saying it needs 7 days, although I trust videomans methods, I had to see for myself how it tastes after 3,4,and 5 days. It is definitely getting smoother after 5 days but is not quite done, I can see that 7 days will probably do. It makes it darker and dank, but really hasn't lessened the potency at all. I don't know if any pros do this but it's kind of fun trying something different. I let you know what I think in 2 more days. word

i prefer water cured for an overly strong tasting bud to reduce some of the taste and increase potency per amount of bud weight. although i look more into potency than anything, so it isnt for some connoisseurs who prefer taste over potency.
ive found that god bud is spectacular when water cured. in my opinion the plant taste like the crystall's taste overpowers the bud taste anyways so why not water cure to reduce the amont that i have to smoke and decrease time from harvest to bowl?

true true,
So doing the water cure somewhat increases potency? Why, because the vegatative mass shrinks while the glands stay the same?

exactly plant matter decreases and the chemical content of thc stays the same. most people dont understand that easily

Ok 7 days, and the herb has been out of the h2o long enough to trim the outer part of the bud for sampling, yep 7 days! It's now really smooth and ultra head-potent. My eyes feel as if they are bugging out of their sockets.
Electric Haze. Dark haze resinous calyxes, fuckin' way medicated right now.
Was a fun experiment and works quite well. Pleasantly suprised.:eyesmoke:
I'd do this again, especially if you don't have time to do a proper flush.

The water needs to be exposed to air the whole time so that the stuff that leeches out in the water can evaporate away. You can't just seal a bag.

:roll::roll::roll::roll:

you can if its a 3 gallon bag. the only purpose is to make it more manageable.
i find it easier to move a 3gallon bag with 1gal of water in it to change, rather than a 4gal rubber maid container. i find that its easier so it takes less time to change water & i can do it more often. :hump:

From what I can tell there are few disadvantages to water curing except your bud won't look as good. But in exchange it does wash out impurities and things you don't need to smoke. If I were a heavy smoker it's probably the best way to go for my lungs. I don't smoke much really so I'm not too worried about it. Plus, I wanted to keep it simple. But I could definitely see water curing in the future.

i just emptied out the ole ziplock bag today and decided that it was good enough. It has been 4days of changing the water 2/3 times a day. i balled all of the wet mass up tightly together to squeeze out as much water as possible. i then spread it all back out and fluffed the buds out really nicely to dry on a suspended piece of screen.
i quick dried one in the microwave. it took 90 seconds, but the bud didnt taste leafy @ all and was VERY smooth while taking big ass mofo rips off my water bong.
it made me think a bit and i made a pump and valve design on a bowl lid so that it blows air into the bowl and stem making the bong basically smoke itself..... i msy develop another decent looking proto-type that dosent involve duct tape holding it together and get it patented
