Hey everyone i am new to the boards i have been reading for a week gathering knowledge about every growing methods and all the details about them.
That being said i know that their is no fields where reading up on something will truely get you ready to do it and i think being part of this kind of community is actualy going to play a huge part in the success of my growth.
Reason i grow is half recreational and half medical. I live somewhere that its illegal but not frowned upon to smoke in general and i will keep my annon because of this lack of legality. My medical reason is so much more basic then most people who grow for medical reasons and i am glad i am not forced to grow for any major illeness. No my problem is a simple allergy to anti inflammatory drugs! when my back is killing their is nothing i can take over the counter that compares to the benefits of eating weed in a any form of cooking like brownies or cookies. Smoking helps too but if i am at work smoking 2 joints to get over my back pain tends to be looked at wierd but eating a brownie no one notices and no one cares and my back is maybe not at 100% but it takes the edge off. To cook potent edibles you require a faire amount of product. That being said its an expensive product. So if i successfully grow a decent stash ill cut down on my health care and ill cut down on my entertainment budget while i am at it! I am french, my english is pretty decent but sorry for any dumb typing mistakes.
Well thats my background story and how i got to this board. Now onto the plan(ts) haha!
i will be building a very basic yet sealed room of 2x4x8 that will grow maximum 2 to 3 plants at once.
My first question right away. If i grow different strains in the same room, will they go racist on me and hate on each other? or are plants cooler then humans?
I have been reading now for days about lighthing. I will be going with mylar reflective on every wall, floor and ceiling. getting a 600W setup that comes with a ballast, the reflector, both the MH for veg and HPS for flowering.
Soil mixtures seems pretty standard. i think if i get any of the popular soil mixtures recommended on the boards. water when the top 1/5 of the dirt got dry with standard board recommended nuitriments.
From all the research i've done i've decided to buy some seeds from a reputable place in canada and i went with these 3 strains. Don't ask how i picked them i think it was more of a feeling then anything else haha.
1x Green House - White Rhino - Feminized
1x Positronics - Purple Haze #1 - Feminized
1x Paradise - Acid - Feminized
so if i could please get a answer to my race question i would be very grateful. not sure yet if i will grow them seperately or not or if i will just throw all 3 in my closet like room. I've seen many test results that show that growing 1 plant per closet and maximizing that 1 plant can easily be very huge harvest. The other side of the medal being that if lets say i grow the White Rhino first and it fails hard i have nothing else on the go.
I hope i get a good discussion going!
