What's that net for bub?I'm new to all this so I don't know much about the little tweaks and stuff you can do to plants, thats a nice set up as well, are those autoflowers or photoperiod
Its a scrog or screen of green. there is all kinds of info on here and google about it .but its basicaly a screen you put above your plants to train them to grow sideways instead of up. It provides an even canopy. You don't have to do it but it is a pretty good method when you are using compact fluorescents. Helps even out your buds so they all get the same amount of light. And as for what I am growing they are random bag seeds

CFL's are a decent budget grow, but you might want to put some 6000k bulbs in the mix at least for veg. I like a dual spectrum in flower as I feel it gives dense buds....in flower I'd go with 2 2700k to every 6000k......and reverse that ratio for veg.

You'll be tempted to put your lights close to that little plant....don't. A plant that size really doesn't need a ton of light, and just about every new grower ends up burning his plants. You'll be fine with your light about a foot over your seedling. Once it grows to about 4-5 nodes, you'll want more lights and good air-flow to keep things cool. CFL's are HOT.

If it's in your budget, opt for a 2' four-bulb T5HO fixture. Home Depot has them online for less that $100 and shipping is free.....(veg) bulbs are included.

Yeah I Use a mixed spectrum for the beginning two weeks of my vegetation I had to 125 watt CFL over my plants Then I added for 55 watt CFL. The to 125 watt or 6400 K and the 55 what are 2700 K And I am planning on going into flowering soon I added 1223 watte 2700 K CFL for flowering

This is true this is my first grow also and I read all this stuff about keeping your light 2 inches from your plant so that's what I did and I had major heat issues the first couple weeks

Let me make a suggestion to those of you loading up a ton of CFL's over a plant.....Invest in a T5HO....you're going to end up with one in the near future anyway as you're going to find out all the not-so-great things about CFL grows.

Check out Craigslist for deals on lights.

I've read a lot of good and bad reviews on both. but as I said this is just my first grow I plan on upgrading to a high pressure sodium for my next grow

Hey guys here she is since then I noticed some nute burn the other day so we flushed her a bit, not to much though I only used 6-7 cups of water though, hopefully that'll work out. She will be 2 weeks on Saturday!
