My first grow.

I first germinated my seeds in rockwool, which took about a week, When they sprouted I gave them light right away, I was using a 100 watt CFL. Then about three days later I added Veg nutes(PowerPlant). It got bigger over night. Nice litttle leaves stout stem the works. When the root poked through the bottom I transplanted into scotts potting soil. Then I fed it again about every other day for the next 4 days or so. Then it started turn brown getting worse everyday, then crispy then keeled over and died. WHAT THE FUCK! Under the leaves it was still green. Hmmm... If any of you can explain what happened that'd be badass; sorry no pix I dumped before I took them(When I pulled it up it had a nice root, about 2 inches or so).

So I'm starting over and with a new germ method I did the paper towel thing in a bag today @2:00 pm, hope it works. How long does this method usually take? If you have any tips on when to put light on them and when to add nutes let me know. I'll post pix when they sprout. Wish me luck.

with the paper towel method you should have resuts in about a day or so your plant that died could of been still alive if it was still green but wat can u do , dont start off with so muuch light get a 26-45w light and put it a inch away from your plant ,hows you vintilation cuz u want nice circulation for nice strong stemd ill be watchin keep me updated

I have a 60 watt CFL. Is that to high?

Day 2 and the babies still haven't popped yet I've been keeping them in the dark cuz that's what I hear the most. Anyway I'll take pix when they pop. Thanks for the help.

i would never use nutes on plants that are under 3 weeks old. and i use at least half the amount of recomened dose. going up to their needs.

im with DR high on this one.unless the potting soil ain't got shit on it.

i dont even germ my seeds i just put them in the dirt keep it moist and they sprout fine....

Cool I'll wait then. I was using 1/4 strength cuz that's what the bottle said. Oh and the potting soil has trace nutes in it but nothing significant.

This is what they looked liked the first time about 2 days before they curled up and died.

ya i tryied germin my seeds for my plant but it took to long so i just threw them in a pot but they turned out weird......so idk.....does it really matter if u germ them or not? do they look diff when u germ them?

You're askin' the wrong guy. But when my first batch germed They were kinda white and closed then they opened and got more green in about 12 hours, give or take.
