This will be my first time posting on forums and showing my grow publicly. Any help/ appreciation would be greatly appreciated. I feel as I've done tons of research and fairly know what i'm doing. Here is my current setup. Pics will be soon.

Strain : Chrystal
Lights : 4x t5 ho 33w apiece and 4x cfls for veg/400 hps for flower
Pots : 3x are in 5 gal buckets and 1x in 3 gal bucket
Soil : Fox Farm with perlite

Right now they are in day 7 of flower. I just feed them with fox farms nutrients for their first time yesterday. I used the week 1 schedule at half strength to be safe. I will gradually increase the ppm. I plan on letting them flower at least 10 weeks. Any help, questions, or concerns please reply. Any of it would be very appreciated.

Right now i currently installed a carbon air filter running out the other side of my cool tube. It raised the heat about 5 degrees. I've put light on 75% to make up for the difference for now. Any recommendations to lowering the temp even more. Knowing summer is around the corner, i know heat will be an issue. Installing an a/c is really out of question for multiple purposes. Pictures coming soon!

Looks pretty good S. Nice simple grow for the first time.
My next grow will be some sterling haze. I plan on doing 2x soil and 1 in a dwc. I might try scrog also. Right now it is carbon filter, light, fan at the top of the room blowing air out.

Overall they look excellent even though heat has been somewhat an issue. Any idea as to how much I might net from this? Also should I trim lower branches and leaves at all? I see sooo many people trim everything but their tops. Thanks for the input guys.

well the way you have it set up right now it's sound to me like the only thing your exhaust is doing (besides helping with odor via the carbon filter) is cooling of your hood with the warm air it has already created it's self just by being on and hot, where as if you were to set-up an intake system you would have the ability to pump in fresh, cooler air as needed. hope this help

p.s. your carbon filter made your room hotter because it isn't allowing your vent fan to run at optimal speed because it's adding resistance to the system

Thanks a lot for the advice. So My tube right now pulls hot air out of the room and vents it to another room. Is that not ok?

Wow I understand. So basically I need to turn my fan around and blow air through the tube. I will probably just put the fan inside the room then. Connect the end that has air being blown thru it to the outside not the room. To the other end. Tubing, fan, then to outside of room. If I do this, then I will need to add another fan to exhaust air out the room, correct? Thanks for the help. Also with this method I can't really use a carbon filter unless I hook it to my second fan correct? or is their a way i can do all this with just one 270 cfm fan?

Roll up a fatty and watch this link. http://youtu.be/De5AQ_7PgO4 I think you may have a lot of learning to do still, young Padawan.

Negative you still want to pull air through the tube. Instead of changing your whole set up, the addition of an intake fan should make it easier to control your environment. And definitely watch that video. There is also one on YouTube called 'grow like a pro' that was made by hightimes. Alot of good info in there
