My first grow DWC problems. HELP!!!

This is my first attempt at growing. I'm using the DWC method because it works better with my busy schedule. Here is my setup:

4x4 tent
Maxsisun pb4000 800 watt light
Led color 3500k, 6500k, 660nm

Ac 8,000bcu and heater with controller
Humidifier and dehumidifier with controller
2 6" fans at top of canopy and 1 6" fan on light
1 circulating fan at the bottom
4" Ac infinity exhaust fan

I'm grown lavender kush and gorilla cookies. My plants are about 4 weeks old and I'm on day 10 of veg.

I'm using advance nutrients Sensi grow A&B with B-52 and cal-mag. My water temp is 68-70° with a PH of 5.5-6.5. I adjust the ph down from 6.5 back to 5.6 every other day. My ppm is at 500 and ec at 1.5-1.7

My plants started of looking great but has recently had issues that I'm not sure what to do. I have a few issues with the leaves and roots I think. The leaves and stalk is growing but it isn't growing vertically. I hope this doesn't look like root rot. The leaves look like they're wilting a little. I rinsed the roots and they look a lot better now than the pics but still a little brown. Please check out the pics and help me if you guys know what's wrong.

How far below the net pot is the water

Get an enzyme cleaner like hydroguard or z7
I have the buckets filled with 2 and a half gallons of water. The roots are submerged about 6 inches into the buckets. I have a nice gap in between the water and the net pot. I'm going to my local hydroponic store to grab what you recommend today.for root rot today. I hope it isn't too late. Thanks for your response!

I agree... lower your nutrient levels and make sure to your roots are healthy. I had similar problems in dwc when my water wasn't oxygenated enough as well, so make sure to your pump is producing lots and lots of bubbles in your buckets. Low DO can cause all sorts of problems.

I attempted to grow 3 times with sensei a+b in Dwc and never had good success. Always had major issues mid way in flower. I feel like this stuff needs a lot of dialing in. hard to dial in when you only grow once a year. If you ask AN they say you can get through an entire grow without using their other products but I find that to be BS. I was not following the bottle directions tho...I was using less. Following directions would have me at 1400ppm or something in flower. It is probable that was my issue. But then I would have used 100$ in nutes on 1 grow.

I had major issue with rot also. Not able to keep temps down in my res. I do a flood drain now and run a sterile res with pool shock.

I started my yearly grow again and have switched to dry nutes this time. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the 2 cents. Lol any advice is appreciated. I wanted to start my dwc with canna nutrients but they wasn't avaliable. I'm using a third recommended dosage and my ec is truth the roof.

I’m a newbie and may be mistaken, but your reported ppm and EC numbers don’t match. My understanding is that my TDS pen shows ppm based on multiplying the measured EC by 500. So your 1.5 to 1.7 EC would be equal to 750 to 850 ppm not 500 ppm as you report.

Ppm pens have different calibrations. 500 or 700 scale. That is why ec is the better way to look at things. Should just always use ec when discussing things in the forum..makes life easier on everybody.

I have a tds meter that only reads ppm and it reads 500ppm and my ec meter reads both ppm and ec but I don't use it for the ppm reading because I don't quite get it. But maybe you're on to something. Maybe the tds reader I'm using is junk. I'm not seeing any major signs of nutrient burn so I'm not sure. I'll definitely be lowering my ppm and ec. See the pics below. These readings are all from the same bucket and thanks for the info!

Have you looked into the krackty method? I have grown pretty decent hydro plants with no airpumps at all

Ok I'll keep that in mind moving forward. Thanks

a while ago i spoke to AN grow support and he advised me against using sensi series in dwc due to lot of bacteria in it and too much oxygene in dwc, i even have post for that, then he recommended to use AN 3 part which is identical to gh flora series. So maybe try doing water change with other nutrients ?

It has bacteria in it?? Ok that explains my problems. So don't use this if you can't keep the water bellow 70.

So it was more of the high oxygen issue rather then water temp. The way he explained was you might have bacteria bloom. But combine those 2 and i will have issues. An said sensi series are perfect for soil and coco.
