my first closet grow would appreciate help

hey guys new to growing weed and not sure if i have the right setp so far.
i have just germinated my seed and planted it last night, i have a box in my closet with aluminium foil around the inside to reflect the 36w flouroescent tube i have in there. should i wait unitll it spouts before i put the light on or put it on 24hrs right now?/
and also will my light be ok for the whole grow?

Put them under the floro already. Invest in some Mylar or panda plastic. Aluminum can cause hot spots &. Burn your plant.
As the plant gets bigger you'll need more lumens so you'll need more then 1bulb. I used 6 300watt equivalents. Make sure the floros you are using are of a kelvin value of 6500k for vegg. & 2700k for flowering. You also want to get a fan inside that closet.

and ruby, keep that bulb very close to prevent stretching out your baby. Check the threads that are stickied at the top of this forum also, very helpful :joint: Have fun and good luck with your grow.

I keep reading about people like the OP using 38 watt lights to grow.

Is that okay?

Does that mean that my 400w grolux hps is overkill for 12 plants that take up about 1 square foot?

No such thing as too much light. & every1 uses more than one floro. Every1.
