So i just checked on my girl before lights off and to my absolute delight discovered tiny little pistils popping up all over the place :D

I was starting to worry it might be male as its been on 12/12 for 13 days and has, until now, shown no sign of pubic growth. But alas the hairs are here. As this is my first grow im sure you can imagine how happy i am with this discovery.

The pistils are too small to be visible in the photos as I'm limited to my phone camera but you can get an idea of the overall health of plant

If you've read this far you may be interested to know that she's growing under 6x11w cfls (tiny i know and I'm not expecting miracles, just dipping my toes in the water before i start spending money). Grown in J.I#2 from beginning, transplanted once. Only had small doses of generic growth feed during veg, a generic multipurpose when i flipped to 12/12 and I've got a bottle of bloom feed which ill start in the next week or so.

Again, this is my first grow so I'm stoked I've got this far successfully.

Thanks for reading, all comments and advice welcome

Yeah, start her on some tiger bloom or Cha Ching, soon, something high in P-K.
Very nice looking, bout 6 inches shorter than mine at that age... Stalks, bushy bushy girl. She'll yield nice.
Whats your lighting?

A few update pics if anyone's interested. 3 weeks 2 days on 12/12 now.

The burnt tips on the left side of the last photo are a result of leaves resting on the cfls, the lights have been adjusted to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Also, after realizing the futility of trying to get buds with a handful of low power cfls, i've just ordered a 150w hps ballast and bulb so hopefully in the next the 3-5 business days i can give her the light she deserves and craves.

More light = more buds. Good move. 150w isn't over the top, but start thinking about the extra heat from HID. They run hot.

150 was my only choice with the space in working in, any higher would cause unresolvable problems.

i think ill be able to keep heat from a 150 under control with good fan placement. I'm going to add a ft or so height to my cupboard to allow me to bring the light away from the plant, something i haven't had to worry about with cfls.

Im thinking a 4in fan above the hps sucking the hot air up. I'm going to keep the existing cfls to allow light to reach lower parts of the plant, each cfl will be cooled individually with a laptop cooler fan. I know this isn't necessary but i have the fans and its just for my own piece of mind. Temps at the moment are at the 27c mark with just the cfls so im taking all possible precautions when i add the real heat.

I feel i should mention that this plant is just a bagseed i threw in some soil to familiarise myself with the growth habits before planting paid for, fem seeds. It being female is just a very happy bonus
