My babies stopped growing!

Help! My girls have stopped growing. A little history first: using Emily's Garden hydroponic system with 125 W CFL light. Have 2 plants that I vegg'ed for 6 weeks then switched over to bloom (July 26). Soon after the white fingers showed up, so, their girls, right?

The girls have been blooming for 38 days and the buds have not gotten much bigger. Surely not like some of the photos I see here.

Any idea why they stopped growing?

Have any pics? Mine is right about 38 days old now. I must be high, didn't even see you said hydroponics, so I edited, check for root rot, look for brown slimy roots, also, make sure you have tons of air to the roots with airstones and pumps, or they drown.

I think there is a very simple solution to your problem... either grab a bigger light, or move your lights closer to the plant. Also what kind of enclosure are you using? and what kind of nutirents?

RW: I'll have to inspect the roots. I'm using a 10" airstone, so I hope that is sufficient.
PR: Since I'm only growing 2 plants and don't expect to grow more than 4 at a time, I've been told the CFL will do the job. And I was ready to buy a ballast/HPS. The light is on top of them, that I have some burned leaves. I'm under a stairwell using white cardboard to reflect the light. Was using GH Flora Nova Grow and Bloom, but switched over to GH MaxiBloom a week ago. Read about this on this site. And I figured since the buds weren't growing much, switching can't hurt them any more than they are.

I'm using GH flora nova, I swtiched to the lucas method a week ago. When I added my 150 watt hps I did notice a huge increase in growth, but I also went from using cfls around the plant and a aerogarden. I have been using 3 to 4 airstones with a 4 out pump in mine. The airstones tend to not work great after awhile and make sure the pump is above the resevoir, I can notice a difference over a day when I add more air to the roots.

If I was having the same issue, I would clean the tub/bucket, check roots very well for any sign of root rot, add a couple more airstones and get nutes and PH right on. The Flora series I like, so far has been good. I was using 5ml grow 10ml micro and 15 ml bloom per gallon, but after reading about the high nitrogen levels doing it that way I went with the 6ml micro and 16ml grow. Hope you can figure it out and check back and let us know whats up.
Goog Luck!

The flora nova came with Emily's garden, and I used it to grow chili peppers, so I went the next step with 2 pot plants. After reading Widow Makers post on how to grow, he uses MaxiGro/Bloom. The solution is clear instead of light brown, and it doesn't stain the carpet like the Flora Nova does.

The roots look OK. Just had my hand in the kettle and they didn't feel slimy. Maybe I'll add another pump and airstone. And try to get my light closer.

Here are several pics. I have two plants and both are different. I believe their indica plants, but from different litters. I kept seeds from two of my purchases of recrecreational weed that was really gooood. I lucked out that both are girls.

I can't really tell by the pics, but the coloring on the leaves looks odd, looks like a nutrient issue or ph.
My buds looked about like that a little after a week into flowering, somethings up, rethink everything you have done and start fresh, if it stays stunned too long it will not produce.
If you have any flora left, try it for a week and look for results, I would do the 6 micro and 16 bloom a gallon in ph'd water, no grow, been working great for mine. leave out all extras and maybe add some hydrogen peroxide 3% to the mix at about 1 cup per gallon to kill off any bad bacteria etc. I use it all the time in mine and they seem to like it and does a great job

The one I am growing, started from bag seed too, was good, I think it is a mix of blueberry and g13, has that spicey berry smell, right now the buds smell like grape bubblegum. My biggest issue I have found is roots, I haven't had too much of a issue with my big plant, but all the others I have. So far every one of mine that slowed growing started to show brown roots, the peroxide has been what saved mine from death. I use cannazyme in my water, but even with it, I have had to add peroxide early then add the cannazyme. After a few days on mine, even when the roots look good the peroxide makes the roots take off, I use it to clean my resevoir too. At $1 for a 32 oz bottle it is worth it.

If bag seed is what you get from the street, that's what I'm using; from two different "bags". The first and fourth pic are one the same, from plant 1, which is short. Pics two and three are from plant 2 which is taller. Leaves on both plants are fat. Not sure what breed they are (indica or sativa). Plant 1 is a darker green and 25" tall while plant 2 is lighter green and 41" tall. (And my photo skills suck, so plant 2 looks over exposed.) I've been following a feeding schedule I found on here. I've always tried to maintain a pH of >5.5 - 6.0 and the nutes somewhere near 1300-1400ppm.

I've had several pH accidents. When I switched over to bloom, it took me several days to get the nutes and pH where I wanted. Not concerned about the nutes being off, but the pH dropped to 4 and by the third day was 6. The directions on the pH UP says to use small amounts, and one of the Widow Makers comments was to make small adjustments to the pH, otherwise harm occurs (???) when big changes occur.

I'll stick with the Maxi Bloom and Gro, now that I have it. I'll harvest what I have (if the hairs change) and try to do better on the next grow.

Can anyone tell me if the low pH for several days after the switchover to flowering might have caused the slowwwww growth of the buds?
