My 6yr Old Wants to Grow.

Do you think I should let her?

I have a 6 year old daughter, "Jay", and she really wants to grow. She has had the opportunity to see the medicinal value of cannabis at work with her lived ones. I broke my back in four places in 2004 while serving in the USMC and she knows that without smoking the pain can sometimes be crippling. My best friend, Tim, has cancer and was wasting away because he had no appetite, depression, and incredible pain. He had always been a non-smoker but SHE convinced him that the medicine Daddy grows would help him. I tried for years to get him to smoke so he thought I was still just trying to get him high. After he was diagnosed my wife, a pediatrician, tried to get him to smoke, still didn't happen. My lil girl was the only one to get through to him. So he tried it and the difference in his life has been night and day. He is so gratefull to her and this plant.

She has always helped me in the growroom. She can transplant, pH nutrient solution (under daddy's watchful eye), and is the best at monitoring temp and humidity. She understands basic plant functions, lighting, growth stages, and can tell me when a plant is done or if it should go a little longer. This kid is a trip. These plants have been in her life since birth. Most importantly she knows the first rule of growing, DONT TELL ANYBODY. She completely understands why that rule exists. We are in an illegal state.

She says " Dad, I really want to help people, especially you and Uncle Tim, you know I can grow medicine". So I'm thinking about setting her up. I'm thinking about getting her for Christmas a 2x2 tent, a big CFL or a cheap Chinese led, ventilation, and temp/humidity monitoring equip. and some autoflower seeds. The cfl or led will be for safety because they don't produce heat like hid.

Maybe I should get her all the equipment and just let her do veggies or flowers but I know that's not gonna satisfy her, that's not where her heart is at.

I'm so torn on what to do. That is why I'm calling on my peers for advice.
So what do ya think?

By the time your daughter is 21yo, cannabis will be a firm supported thing in society
but the world if around will be very hungry indeed, with 9 billion plus, mouths to feed
horticulture is what my family trained me, for the nuke wars of the 21st century tho....

Teach her to grow some mean 'ol tomaters.

She's too young to be hanging around lights like that. They're bad for the kids eye sight.

Teach her to grow food outdoors properly so she can then relay what she learns back to you.

You are what you eat and it will benefit the whole family in the long run.

Just as growing your own meds has it's own benefits, food does as well in amplified amounts.

Plus, this method would really hammer home the passing of the seasons to her. Then she will slowly begin to understand that our time here is finite. Fucking indoor growers think they'll live forever.

Bit difficult when her friends want to come over and play and she's like "I've just got to go and do something".

6 is not 16 and if it's an illegal state could she get taken off you by the services? Sounds a bit risky. When I was a kid we just planted sunflower seeds and cress.

You have your heart in the right place regarding your growing but I think you need to think logically about this side of it.

I only know one girl who really grew up with a weed God dad and she's a nutter, bless her! She's covered in tattoos and married to a huge ex dealer/grower. Her Dad is a well known Rasta who introduced them. Her upbringing definitely effected how she turned out.

I'd think this one through if I were you. What's a few years to wait?

If my kids showed any interest in it I would offer...she obviously understands the medicinal benefits....she apparently understands discretion, if she's already participating with supervision, why not just carry on that way? How does your wife feel
about it?

But if she says just ONE peep about it infront of a teacher your fucked

Teachers hear alot of shit when I was growing up I would talk about who I would fuck and end up getting in trouble

Lol like a few days later ill be in the office over a referral cuz I said

"man I would tear that ass up like a present on Christmas"

Lol and that one in particular the teacher wasn't even in the room


But then again girls are more strong willed then us men so idk lol

But idk her so she could be different

Like I've been on my own since I was 12 like my mom was kinda there but with no dad I had no one so I would hang out smoke weed and drink lol and I saw the real world at such a young age not the fairy tale bullshit everyone mouth feeds you while your young I saw what it really was
